The ultimate guide to passive crypto earnings!

I've spent the last couple months figuring out a good strategy to generate some passive cryptocurrency without investing money before a big bull-run starts. As Bitcoin is still fairly low, but cryptos have been risen again in the last weeks, it's best to get in now. I don't have very much time, so I examinated the best-working websites with the littlest time investment and the highest result possible.

Disclaimer: This will be a long post and I'll tell you all the sites I use and how my strategy works. Use it as an inspiration and develop your own working strategy. Skip stuff that doesn't seem to be worth your time or websites you don't like. If you don't like to use a referral-link, just remove the last part of the link. Most websites will give you a bonus when signing up with a ref-link, though and I would appreciate it for the effort I put in this guide.

I assume you have some basic knowledge on cryptocurrencies, a wallet and accounts on Faucethub and Coinpot.

So, let's get started.

Step 1: Claim once a day from stacking up faucets

If you're familiar with faucets, you probably know the moon-faucets that pay directly to Coinpot. They keep stacking up until your next claim, so they are the best and highest-paying faucets if you want to keep your time claiming as little as possible. I suggest you use them at least once a day to accumulate the daily bonus that will really change your game. I do a quick claiming round once in the morning and once in the evening. If you have more time, they are also really worth being claimed more often. For the sake of completion I will include them here:

Moonbitcoin for Bitcoin
Moonlitecoin for Litecoin
Moonbitcoincash for Bitcoin Cash
Moondash for Dash
Moondogecoin for Dogecoin
Bitfun stacking up Bitcoin-faucet that pays instantly to Coinpot

Two new exact clones of the Moonfaucets that pay instantly to Faucethub with no minimum. They also have daily bonus:

Getcoin Bitcoin for Bitcoin
Getcoin Litecoin for Litecoin

And the last stacking up faucet for BTC: Yannik.biz

So yeah, try to claim them at least once a day to maintain your daily bonus. The bonus can really be a game changer on these ones. Claiming them all will take no more than 5-10 minutes every day.

Step 2: Receive daily interest on your faucet claims!

Send your Bitcoin to Freebitcoin and receive daily interest on your balance once you have more than 30000 Satoshis (shouldn't take too long if you put in some effort in the beginning). You can also use the website as a faucet once a hour. It is actually paying well. If you use my link to sign up a new account you will receive life-long +12,5% on your daily interest and +25% on all your claims. If you already have an account, just create a new one with this link and delete your old one as this ref-back-bonus will give you a decent boost on your earnings. Freebitcoin is one of the oldest and most trusted website in the crypto scene!

Step 3: Claim even more cryptos once you have some spare time

Highest-paying sites I found where you can claim every hour along with Freebitcoin are these:

Cointiply: very high paying and they also give you daily interest, but are tied to USD-rates, so you're better off withdrawing your satoshis to Freebitcoin once you reached minimum withdrawal as you would lose satoshis if BTC price continues to rise.

Freedogecoin: Same as Freebitcoin, but with less functions.

Bitsfree: New website with cool design where you can claim once a hour and withdraw to Faucethub at a fairly low amount. Pays pretty well.

Claimbits: Same script as Bitsfree, but pays a bit less and you have to solve three shortlinks once in a while to be able to claim. It's still worth participating in.

Remember: On every claim on these websites you have the chance to win a big amount of cash. So try to use them as often as possible. Unlike the stacking up faucets, with the exception of Cointiply, they don't have a daily bonus, so it's no problem if you ignore them for a while.

Bonusbitcoin: Claim a good amount of satoshis every 15 minutes. Instant payments to Coinpot again.

Click high-paying ads on AdBtc and Dogeads. Another good website for high-paying BTC-ads is Bits-Pays.

Use websites where you can do surveys and all kinds of stuff to earn money that also pay in cryptocurrency. The best website I found that is similar to Swagbucks and has the option to pay cryptos is probably Grindabuck.

Claim your daily bonus at Firefaucet, collect some Autoclaims during the week and run it during the happy hours on the weekend to get most of it. Instant payments to Faucethub.

Step 4: Use semi-passive methods with crypto farming games

There are some crypto games out there that have the ability to build you a decent chunk of passive income after a while. The sites require small tasks you do to earn crypto or credits which you can re-invest in stuff that will generate passive income for you. It takes some effort upfront, but once set up they will passively pay you with no additional effort. Here are my favorites:

Satoshi-Labs: Claim from a faucet every 5 minutes, do surveys and shortlinks and re-invest your earnings in buildings that will generate satoshis for you every hour.

Cryptomininggame: Play a simulated mining game and do missions to level up. As you level up, your earnings increase. This site has a high stacking up daily bonus and can be very profitable once you get to a high level.

Bits-Pays: Has several options to earn passive income. You can play their mining game or buy company shares that will give you dividends. It has a lot of attractive offers for advertisers and very high paying ads and daily bonus, too!

Bitcoinfun: This is a new website that works the exact same as satoshilabs. Once you're into satoshilabs you will also get Bitcoinfun. I see a lot of potential for this website.

Step 5: Fully passive methods

So yeah, let's come to the best part. There are options that require no effort at all! Let's go.

I've already written about sending my satoshis to Freebitcoin for daily interest, but what you can also do is sending some cryptos to Eobot. They are probably the only legit Cloudmining platform out there that has been paying since 2013. You can also claim some GHS there every 24 hours if you set Mining to GHS 5.0. first, which is cool. I like to send some of my altcoins like Doge and Bitcoin Cash to them and convert them in GHS to earn passive Satoshis.

You have probably heart it a thousand times on this sub, but you can also earn Bitcoin by using the two legit autosurfers that pay in Bitcoin by now. This is a fully passive method, just run them whenever you're online.

Getcashfree and Fastcashmining.
Another fully passive website planning to add crypto-payments soon is Radioearn.

Use browser extensions that will automatically generate money for you just for using them:

Presearch: This is probably the best search engine I've ever seen. After installing it will be opened every time you open a new tab. You can customize it, so you can choose from searching via Google, Amazon, Reddit, Wikipedia and much more without accessing the websites first. This is very comfortably and the best part about it: You earn Pre-Tokens for every search, which you can later exchange for BTC.

Surfe.be: A browser extension that shows you some Banners while surfing the web and pays you some money for it. You can disable it at any time and it isn't over-present at all when surfing (I barely notice the banners).

Claim every 24 hours from Mellowads and use it to advertise your ref-links. You can also promote your ref-links on AdBTC, Bits-Pays and DogeAds. Having referrals is another good way to generate some passive income.

Sign up for Mannabase. This is a cool project that aims to create some sort of crypto Universal Basic Income for everyone. After signing up you will need to verify your identity and once they accept you, you'll receive free Manna every week. You can then exchange Manna for BTC or USD. As they have a lot of pending approvals, expect it to take 1-2 months before they accept you.

Conclusion

So yeah, that's basically my main sources and my strategy and I treat it as some sort of site-business. If I am lazy, I spend no more than 10-15 minutes a day to claim the stacking up faucets and daily bonuses on websites and receive my daily interest, payments from Eobot, crypto games and browser extensions anyway. It's really cool to watch your balances, bonus and interest grow over time and who knows? 1$ in Crypto could be 30$ of Crypto in the future. Use this guide as an inspiration to develop your own strategy of acquiring as many Cryptos for free as you can. For me these websites work the best. And I tested a lot of websites.

Additional tips: Use different passwords on the websites and write them all down. It can be a hassle memorizing several passwords. Also create a separate e-mail-address for all the crypto websites. To make it easier handling all the websites, group them in a document e.q. all 1 hour faucets, all stacking up faucets and add links, so you can quickly access them when you want to use this particular group of websites. Be patient at first, your earnings will increase over time.

Feel free to ask me anything, have fun and happy claiming! :)

How to accept Dogecoin with your business, and why. A few pointers.

THE UPDATED VERSION OF THIS POST CAN BE FOUND HERE.
You are a business owner and sell goods or services. You heard about Dogecoin. You wonder how you can use it in your business. This thread is for you.
If you have no idea what Dogecoin is, read up on it here (click). In short, it is a digital currency that is perfect for everyday use. Read on if you want to know why it would be good for your enterprise.
Why should I accept payments in Dogecoin?
Dogecoin offers you:
Dogecoin can be exchanged to national currencies. You can do this easily by yourself or use the automatic conversion offered by some payment processors (all is explained further down). You can also just keep your Dogecoin and spend it or offer it to your employees! :)
Dogecoin is fun and it gets ever more useful the more people like you use and accept it. There are other merchants who have gone this path before you - you can read interviews about them and their experiences on this blog. You can also talk with other merchants in /dogevendors, check out these testimonials ([1, 2], 3), search this subreddit and post any questions you have right here!
I want to accept donations. What are my options?
Just download the client and put up the wallet address up on your page with donation info. Done! That's it! If you want something snazzy, check out this widget or this one (or this one) (or this one).
If you need to track who sent you how much money (for goodies and that), you could ask that donators tell you that they're sending you a very specific amount of coins (e.g. 100.424242), and match it to their name. However, this can be abused as your transaction history is public. If you're actually selling stuff, check out the next section instead.
I sell stuff online. What are my options?
You have a lot! It boils down to one of these:
The last option can be interesting if you don't have your own web store, are selling digital goods and/or are just selling on as a side business. If your business is your main income, handling payment yourself is probably better.
1) Manually processing transactions
All you need for this is a Dogecoin wallet. You simply generate a payment address for each of your customers, send it to them and confirm that your coins arrived at the address. This is super fast to set up and there is absolutely no commitment.
If you just want to try it out before investing a lot of effort, just set up a wallet (either with the Dogecoin desktop client or an online wallet (listed under Browser "here") and let your customers know that they can now pay with Dogecoin. You can use some of these buttons if you wish( 1 2 3 4 5) and browse this asset repository of useful artwork. The graphical interface is still being developed, but you can browse the files and find license information already :)
2) Automatically processing transactions
Check out the section on APIs and payment processors further down!
3) Selling stuff through a 3rd-party site
There are a number of sites that function a lot like eBay, Etsy and Xmart. You enter your products and they handle the payment and web store stuff. This is most convenient if you have digital goods to sell (music, books...) and want to send them out automatically.
If you are an Etsy user who wants to accept Dogecoin, click here.
I sell from a physical store or location. What are my options?
All you need is an internet connection in your store and a web-capable device, such as a mobile phone, cheap tablet or a nearby PC. On-site, your customers can send you coins using their phone, or you can sell coupons for your goods online in advance.
DogePos is a point-of-sales app that is open source and Koupah announced that they will accept Doge as well. You can use or apply for all of these tools right now! Either way, all you need is a way to 1) convert a USD price into Doge, and to 2) check that the coins have arrived in your wallet.
To check your wallet balance and Doge prices, you can use the app MyDOGE oniPhones and iPads, and this app on Android devices. This is one of many useful price converter websites you can bookmark. Checking your balance on the PC can be done with the wallet client.
If you want to sell your goods or coupons for them online, it might be easiest use a ready-made stores capable of digital distribution. Check point "3)" in the above section for some options.
Dogecoin payment processors, APIs, checkouts
Currently, the established platforms accepting Dogecoin seem to be these:
I'm trying a tentative summary here to save you some research, but I'd appreciate comments a lot. None of the three have setup or monthly fees (except some optional subscriptions).
GoCoin:
Coinpayments:
You can probably find people who have used one of these in this thread. This guy volunteered his code for automatic currency conversion and his help setting up the plugin for OpenCart, for example!
If you are tech-inclined, you could run your own payment server with dogecoind and an API like this. This is not yet ready for laypeople though, so don't do that unless you want to get messy.
Exchanging Doge to USD/EUGBP/other national currencies
If you don't have your payment processor do it for you, at some point you will want to get your Doge converted to your currency of choice, which you should do at an exchange. Keep in mind that you will have to get registered and verified at the exchange, which can take up to a week.
Transfers to and from national currency can take a few days, but trading and transferring digital currencies is very fast and usually near-instant. The following exchanges let you trade your Doge for national currency directly (last updated Sep 17):
If your currency is not listed above, you can either sell your Doge here, or exchange them to Bitcoin and then sell those. I find Kraken (EUR, KRW, USD) to be the best option for EUR, but you can sell Doge for BTC on all of the exchanges mentioned above, or choose one from this list. To sell BTC for national currency, you can also go to Justcoin or LocalBitcoins. There are many similar sites - just pick the one you like best!
Things get developed incredibly fast and Dogecoin is not even a year old. This will only get easier, so keep checking back! Justcoin is looking to trade Dogecoin to national currency, and others are sure to follow.
Alright! How do I promote my business now that I accept Dogecoin?
Note that there's a collection of Dogecoin artwork and assets for you to use in this repository, complete with license information so you can design your promotions and website with it.
1) Submit your business to these directories:
2) If you are a brick-and-mortar store, mark your business on these maps [1, 2]. Post if you have problems!
3) Make a promotion post in one of these subreddits:
You will get views, especially if you offer an interesting product or a Doge-related promotion. Hint: the best promotion is to offer a few % off for all Dogecoin purchases. Also post and comment to this just to discuss your plans and ask your questions. Come talk to us here and in /dogevendors, we are a fun community :)
This post is not updated anymore. Check the thread linked at the top of this post for the newest version. The last big edits were on Aug 4 (DogeAPI, Prelude) and Sep 17 (Updates on exchanges and websites) and Oct 22 (Moolah).

Verge Currency Beginner's Guide

Verge Currency Beginner's Guide
A short Background
2008 was the worst financial crisis the world had experience since the great depression. The efforts of banks worldwide were not enough to prevent its occurrence. Shortly after, someone by the name of Satoshi Nakamoto offered an alternative solution. A digital currency that removes the need for a central bank. His proposal written in the Bitcoin white paper, is summarized below:
  • A secure, decentralized network.
  • A system with economic properties.
  • No need for banks or rule makers.
  • Instant transactions without a need of a third party or government approval.
  • Bringing financial services to the unbanked 2.5 billion people.
  • Total financial freedom. No one can freeze your accounts.
  • Low transaction costs. No ridiculously high transaction fees.
  • A currency with finite amount where no one can print money whenever they want.
Bitcoin
In 2009, when Satoshi Nakamoto launched Bitcoin, the network consisted of computers (in crypto terms, these are called Nodes) to approve transactions, movements of data along the chain. This allows for everyone willing to become a participant, creating a decentralized global network. Allowing for a decentralized currency, free of the control of politicians, or institutions.
The rules can only be changed if 51% of the network agrees on it. This way the network is completely democratized and resistant to hacking attacks.
Unlike today’s financial institutions, no one can freeze your account or prevent you sending money. You are the only person who truly holds your wealth.
It is an open source project. Anyone can see the code and offer or discuss changes with the community. On the other hand, anyone participating to the network with computational power gets incentives or pay, with a fractional amount of BTC.
Blockchain
The core of a secure decentralized network like Bitcoin, lies the Blockchain technology. To put it simply, the blockchain is like a series of Lego, connected to each other by linking information, called transactions. These transactions contain the following data sender, receiver and the unique signature of the sender.
The data will be converted into “hash” before being saved into a block. The bitcoin hash is generated using a set of cryptographic functions called sha256. This way the information is encrypted, is compressed and saved in the block.
Additionally, each block in the chain, contains the information from the block before it. This ensures that if someone tries to maliciously modify information in a block, all the block following this attempt will be changed, making it easier to spot.
Each block includes the information from the previous block. If someone wants to maliciously change the information in one block that change the complete result of all following blocks.
In this type of network there is only one blockchain, and all the information is kept in a public ledger which is shared amongst all the participating networks. For the blockchain to be valid, more than 50% of the participants (nodes and their computational power) must agree with it.
Bitcoin Today (2018)
Until today many, many, events have happened. The network has grown massively. The underlying code is improved in many ways. There are more and more developers and investors that have entered the cryptocurrency space.
Currently there are proposed changes being developed to the Bitcoin network that will make bitcoin rival the centralized networks of today (Visa, Mastercard), while significantly lowering the cost of these transaction.
Many alternative cryptocurrencies have been created along the way, improving some of the aspects of the bitcoin and focusing on certain applications, in the crypto-space, we call them altcoins.
WHY VERGE
The way that Bitcoin function, has severe flaws with regards to privacy:
  • Public Ledger: The transaction information is public, meaning, that transactions can be linked to a person.
  • IP Leakage: A persistent and motivated attacker will be able to associate your IP address with your bitcoin transaction.
Due to the above reasons, it was clear that there would be a need for a privacy coin. Different coins were then created that had this problem in mind. They were ‘too private’ in the sense that they completely by-passed the public ledger. The public ledger allows merchant to provide proof of transactions, which is important for bookkeeping.
Enter Verge Currency, formerly Dogecoindark; which offers transaction on the ledger, both public and private. Allowing the user to choose if the transactions are public or private.
VERGE CURRENCY
2014 saw the birth of Dogecoin Dark; in 2016, it was rebranded to Verge Currency.
Verge improves upon the original Bitcoin blockchain and aims to fulfill its initial purpose of providing individuals and businesses with a fast, efficient and decentralized way of making direct transactions while maintaining your privacy.
What is the Verge Currency Mission?
Verge Currency aims to empower people around the globe using blockchain in everyday life and makes it possible for people to engage in transactions quickly, efficiently and privately. With Verge, business and individuals now have flexible options for sending and receiving payments.
Verge Currency also offer helpful integrations and tools that enable them to handle large scale transactions between merchants and small-scale private payments.
Is Verge Currency a private company and how is it funded?
Following in the spirit of Bitcoin, Verge is an open-source software, and a community. It is not a company, never had an ICO. The development is entirely funded by the community and the developers. Currently Verge is looking into setting up an official Verge merchandise store, and an Official Verge mining pool, for multiple algorithms.

Of Wolves and Weasels - Day 45 - Breadth and Scope

Hey all! GoodShibe here!
Yesterday I spoke about those off doing great work on our behalf, taking the lead or pushing the boundaries of what Dogecoin can do.
I think today is a great chance for everyone to get a real sense of what's going on here - what a group of 65,000+ Shibes has and is accomplishing as we speak (err... type).
So, please, if I've forgotten anyone, don't feel bad -- especially if you're doing something in another sub -- just let me know in the comments and I'll add it to the list, okay?
Here we go!

Have I missed something? I'm sure I've missed something! I can keep going but I'm already running late for work (got carried away)! Post in the comments and I'll add as I have time over the course of the day :D)
It's 9:14AM EST and we're at 52.53% of DOGEs found. Our Global Hashrate is spiking from ~68 to ~89 Gigahashes per second but our Difficulty is still riding low at ~1027!
Go! Mine! Have fun!
As always, I appreciate your support!

Most alt-coins are NOT secure enough, they exist only for entertainment and speculation

(I believe this needs to be posted to /bitcoin as Bitcoin users/enthusiasts need to know the difference between Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. About author: I'm subscribed to /bitcoin since 2011, and have been involved in cryptocurrency security research for several years.)
Let's talk about security aspect of cryptocurrencies. I'm afraid an average user knows very little about this topic: he might know that hashrate is needed to protect the blockchain, and that higher hashrate is better, as it implies that attacker needs to spend more to get control of the blockchain.
But there is a plenty of other kinds of attacks (or, rather, economic models of attacks), some of which have much higher practical significance.
Let's start with something simple: there is a straightforward and rigorous model of double-spending attack under condition that attacker has a fraction of total network's hashrate. I highly recommend Meni Rosenfeld's Analysis of hashrate-based double-spending paper (PDF).
The main takeaway from this paper is that "maximal safe transaction value" is directly proportional to block reward (i.e. amount of coins miners get for each block). It is easy to understand this intuitively: bigger reward means that miners get more money from normal mining, so they will be reluctant to try double-spending attacks. On the other hand, if block reward was negligible, double-spending could be a lucrative source of revenue.
Let's look at numbers: if attacker controls 26% of hashrate and number of confirmations is 6, maximal safe transaction value is 1113 BTC when block reward is 25 BTC. This is pretty cool: you only need to wait 1 hour to make sure you irreversibly received half million USD worth of bitcoins (I assume exchange rate of $450 for 1 Bitcoin).
However, situation is pretty different for alt-coins which have much less valuable block rewards. For example, imagine there is a Foocoin with exchange rate of $1 for 1 Foocoin. If Foocoin's block reward is also 25 foocoins, then max save transaction value for 6 confirmations is only $1113 USD worth of Foocoins. It doesn't look like Foocoin is suitable for commerce, does it?
One could say that Foocoin simply requires larger number of confirmations for larger transactions. But that's wrong: higher number of confirmations helps only under condition that attacker is unable to obtain more than 50% of total hashrate, but for most alt-coins it isn't true.
First of all, let's note that so-called miners simply rent their equipment to "mining pool operators" and are paid in crypto-currency for it. In many cases they don't even care what cryptocurrency they mine as long as they are being paid. See Middlecoin:
This pool automatically mines the most profitable scrypt coin, automatically exchanges those coins for bitcoins, and pays out entirely in bitcoins.
So, miners who mine using Middlecoin do not know if their equipment is being used to mine Litecoins or Dogecoins or something else. And they wouldn't care if it is used for attacks on alt-coins, as they are being paid in bitcoins.
Let's consider a scenario where Middlecoin-like pool has higher hashrate than Foocoin, e.g. Middlecoin (not Middlecoin specifically, but any pool like that) has 20 GH/s, while Foocoin has 10 GH/s. Here's how one can profit from it:
  1. Buy $1M worth of Foocoins, get them into your wallet.
  2. Make an agreement with Middlecoin: you rent they hashrate for a couple of hours, paying them in bitcoin, slightly above what most profitable alt-coin yields.
  3. Send your foocoins to exchange Bar.
  4. Start mining a private chain which has a double-spend transaction which sends coins to exchange Baz.
  5. After your transaction gets 10 confirmations on the normal chain, convert foocoins to bitcoins on Bar and withdraw them immediately.
  6. After withdrawal transaction is confirmed on Bitcoin network (and thus cannot be reversed), you release the private chain you have mined, causing reorganization. You should have mined 20 blocks by then under if Middlecoin has hashrate which is twice higher than normal Foocoin's hashrate.
  7. Your deposit to exchange Baz is now confirmed, converl your foocoins to bitcoins again, and withdraw immediately.
  8. A day later 20 blocks you have mined will get mature, and you'll be able to sell them too.
If Foocoin price doesn't change in process, you can get approximately $1M profit on this attack, as cost of renting a mining pool is approximately equal to value of mined blocks.
In practice, you'll lose some money due to lack of liquidity on exchanges, so profit will be less than $1M.
The conclusion we get from this analysis is that alt-coins which have only a small fraction of total hashrate for a certain mining algorithm are extremely non-secure. And they cannot grow big: as soon as exchanges will have enough liquidity, it will be possible to perform the attack I described, which will result in the price drop.
So almost all alt-coins are simply not suitable for any kind of "real economy" applications. They are doomed to have high volatility, shallow markets, low "max safe transaction value".
One can't deny the fact that it is possible to make money on alt-coins. But that's just gambling. And people who create new alt-coins are in same position as people who build casinos. It is a business, but it is the entertainment sector, not in 'real economy' or 'financial' sectors as some people are trying to pretend.
Bitcoin is one of few cryptocurrencies which are actually serious. It isn't perfect, but attacking Bitcoin is very hard, so transactions worth millions of dollars can be confirmed in matter of hours. Same cannot be said about alt-coins, and this situation won't change unless new cryptocurrency designs will be found.
If there is an alt-coin which is more-or-less secure, it is probably Litecoin. Its hashrate is a significant fraction of total scrypt hashrate, so attacking Litecoin is hard. Interestingly, at some point Dogecoin's hashrate was higher than Litecoin's but it dropped after block reward have dropped. So, again, block reward is important for security.
This has dire implications for alt-coins which have short block reward schedules. If all coins will be mined in two years, this mean that alt-coin will be dead in two years.
(It's worth noting that same problem might affect Bitcoin in future, like in 10 years or so.)
Now there is a question: Is there a way to make multiple currencies all of which will be secure?
Probably. There are several approaches:
  1. Merged mining: The idea is that Bitcoin's proof-of-work can be re-used to mine alt-chains. This makes attacks harder, but hashrate-based double-spending considerations are still applicable, so safety can't be guaranteed... They will be safe only if miners are benevolent.
  2. Side-chains: This needs more research, but it looks like high degree of security is possible as long as you don't care about SPV.
  3. Proof-of-stake and PoW/PoS hybrid: Needs more research, there is some hope. Note that Peercoin's PoS is pretty bad.
  4. Multiple cryptocurrencies in the same blockchain (e.g. colored coins, Mastercoin, Counterparty, Ethereum, Ripple, etc.) will all be equally secure, so I believe this is what we should do instead of spawning a shitload of alt-coins.

[Repost] How to accept Dogecoin with your business, and why. A few pointers.

The original version of this post (see here), cannot be replied to anymore because it has been automatically archived. I am reposting it so I can keep updating and receiving questions on it. Enjoy :)
There are other merchants who have gone this path before you - not least Amazon's streaming service Twitch.tv. You can read interviews in this magazine and on this blog. You can also talk with other merchants in /dogevendors, check out these testimonials ([1, 2], 3), search this subreddit and post any questions you have right here!
I want to accept donations. What are my options?
Just download the client and put up the wallet address up on your page with donation info. Done! That's it! If you want something snazzy, check out this widget.
GoCoin:
Snapcard:
You can sell Doge for BTC on all of the exchanges mentioned above, or choose one from this list.
I'm editing and updating this post regularly. The last big edit to this text was in Apr 2015 (new payment processors).

Of Wolves and Weasels - Day 148 - DOGE4DOGE - Building a Worldwide Brand

Hey all, GoodShibe here!
With our Bootstrap Service Economy starting to take shape, I think now is an excellent time for us to talk about Marketing and Advertising and how we're actually more than just a coin - why we're building a Worldwide Brand.
And why that's a great thing.
You see, I read a post today from slipstream-
Reading comments on hacker news and found this interesting comment related to dogecoin...
Which got me thinking. See, traditionally, I've never been a 'sales' person or an 'Advertising' person. In fact, I have, especially when I was younger, espoused a very... uh... Bill Hicks-ish (warning: NSFW language) approach to the topic.
So what changed?
Mostly, my perspective.
Marketing and Advertising are tools, no more or less bad than hammers or power saws. Heck, I spent all last weekend Advertising for the Lego Movie without even realizing it. (Seriously, I'm not being paid for this, but check it out, it's awesome).
But we do it all the time.
We want people to know about and appreciate the same things that we do. We tell people where to try good food, where the best grocery deals are, where the cheapest gas is, what Radio stations we like, what TV shows and movies we're watching.
If you've ever used a Foursquare-ish app to announce your location, you're Advertising for someone - doing their work for them. If you've ever raved about how awesome Game of Thrones is... you're Advertising.
Most of us don't realize it, but there's actually quite a difference between Marketing and Advertising. Advertising is only about getting the word out there - it is only a small part of the Marketing process.
But Marketing itself covers quite a large number of other factors:
"Market research, media planning, public relations, product pricing, distribution, customer support, sales strategy, and community involvement." (From above, linked article)
And, whether we realize it or not, we're actively taking part in this process, daily.
Here's a brief set of examples, just off the top of my head:
Market Research - What are the other coins doing? What's Bitcoin/Litecoin/etc doing?
Media Planning - Hey, let's help get the Jamaican Bobsled Team to Sochi.
Public Relations - See our What is Dogecoin Video
Product Pricing - How many threads exist about us watching the price and waxing poetic about where it should and shouldn't be?
Distribution - Tipping
Customer Support - /Dogeducation, for one. HowToDoge.com, DogecoinTutorial.com, all sorts of options there.
Sales Strategy - DOGE4DOGE is all about helping our coin gain acceptance locally and worldwide
Community Involvement - I'm pretty sure this one goes without saying
Where Marketing and Advertising go to the Dark Side is when it becomes about Lies. When you can't actually sell the product on its merits.
The International Brand that we're building with Dogecoin is something that WE'VE had a say in every step of the way. Our symbol, our coin, has come to represent our values of Fun and Kindness, Compassion and Camaraderie - worldwide, no matter what language you speak.
We fight for the the Underdoge - and we believe that the future of money is in showing appreciation for people, instantly, no matter where they are in the world. Financially empowering the people who are working to make their world a more fun, more interesting, better place to live.
No one person did this. You did, all of us did.
Because we wanted it bad enough.
We took a joke and made the world laugh along with us - and there is more joy and laughter and fun and kindness in the world... thanks to you.
Thanks to Dogecoin.
So while some people might scoff and roll their eyes, I feel that we should continue to pick up and use the tools that we've been given.
Because 'Money' is the least revolutionary thing about us.
We're not 'going' to change the world.
We ARE changing the world.
And we're only just getting started.
It's 9:05AM EST and we're at 81.05% of DOGEs found. Our Global Hashrate is holding strong at ~46 Gigahashes per second and our Difficulty is down from ~866 to ~713.
As always, I appreciate your support!

[Guide] No hardware to mine? How to net 6,000+Ð/day using Windows Azure

Inspired by lleti 's free guide for using Amazon Web Services. However, from what I understand due to rental costs, it is more efficient to buy doge directly than use AWS. This guide is based on utilizing the $200 credit that comes with the Windows Azure cloud computing free trial, so you will not pay anything.
This is targeted at shibes with poor hardware that can only mine 50-200 doge per day, but it will work for everyone.
Disclaimer: Doge rate is an estimate based on current difficulties and market. Windows Azure trial may be US only (?)
Overview / How it works
You will not be mining doge directly with this method. Mining doge effeciently requires a GPU, which aren't found in traditional servers. Instead, we will be using the powerful CPUs provided with Windows Azure servers to mine a CPU based crypto-currency, such as QuarkCoin or SecureCoin, and convert those to doge.
Steps
1) Install your QRK or SRC wallet
Ideally if you are reading this, you have installed a dogecoin-qt wallet for yourself before. We will need to do the same for either QuarkCoin or SecureCoin. This is the wallet where will will send the coins you mine with your Windows Azure servers.
These are not the only CPU coin options, but QRK and SRC are very similar (same hash function) and simple to mine.
Once you have installed the wallet, it should look very similar to your DogeCoin wallet. If you have trouble downloading the blockchain ('out of sync'), look at these threads respectively to see which nodes you need to add to your config file. Config files are located at C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\CoinName.conf on Windows.
2) Set up a mining pool account
If you have joined a mining pool for DogeCoin, it will be a very similar experience for other alt coins. See the following bitcointalk threads which have a list of mining pools:
If you would like a pool recommendation, I can recommend src.coinmine.pl and qrk.coinmine.pl; this is from personal experience, I am not affiliated with them.
Once you are logged in you should also create 3 workers, as we will be setting up 3 servers, one for each server. So you should have 3 worker names, and a password set up for each worker.
3) Sign up for Windows Azure free trial
Link: www.windowsazure.com/en-us/pricing/free-trial/
You will have to provide a valid credit card and verify your account with a cell phone so they know you are a real person. This is a Microsoft product so they are reputable. Once you sign up, you will receive a $200 to use in 30 days. Remember to cancel when your credits are running out so they don't charge you.
4) Create Windows Server instances
I would recommend you watch this video which walks you through the UI of the Windows Azure management site to set up the virtual machines we need. Essentially we are going to do the following:
Thus we have a total of 20 CPU cores to mine QRK / SRC with. We want the the most CPU power we can get without excessively burning our $200 credit. That's why 2008 R2 is used, and only 3 instances of it.
5) Remotely connect to servers and download miner
This section is also covered in the video from section 4, watch it for a visual walkthrough.
Once the servers have been initialized on Microsoft's end, we should be able to access them under 'Virtual Machines' at www.manage.windowsazure.com. You should see each host name and a status, and when selected there should be an additional 'Connect' button - click it.
You should now be prompted to download a .rdp file. Download this for each of your 3 virtual machines to a folder you will remember. You will open this .rdp file and use the login credentials you previously specified to connect to each server.
Once you are remotely connected, you should see the desktop. Open up the first icon on the taskbar that looks like a server, this is your server manager. We need to open up the 'Configure IE ESC' setting that's visible on this pane. Make sure 'Off' is selected for both admins and users on the IE ESC configuration.
Now, open up the IE browser and navigate to https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9cvOfoOekSdVzZZcThLZHg4bjA/edit. Press Ctrl + S to download the entire zip to the desktop, and un-zip it.
6) Configure and start miner
Again, this is pretty much covered in the video from section 4, if you prefer watching.
You should now have a folder on your server's desktop named quark-v2_w64. This is the miner for both QRK and SRC. We are going to be using minerd64_sse4.exe. Create a shortcut to minerd64_sse4.exe within the same folder. We now need to add the parameters for your miner.
Right click on your minerd64_sse4.exe shortcut -> Properties. Look at the target field, it should look like this:
C:\Users\UserName\Desktop\quark-v2_w64\minerd64_sse4.exe
We are going append the following format to this target field
-a quark -t 8 -o stratum+tcp://src.coinmine.pl:6020 -u user.worker -p password
-a: algorithm, both SRC and QRK use 'quark'
-t: number of cores (so either 8 or 4 for our purposes)
-o: mining pool information (url and port).
-u: account you have for your mining pool, then a period, then a worker name
-p: password that you created for the worker in step 2
So here is an example of what the target field of your shortcut should look like when you are done:
C:\Users\Nexic\Desktop\quark-v2_w64\minerd64_sse4.exe -a quark -t 8 -o stratum+tcp://src.coinmine.pl:6020 -u Nexic.worker1 -p pass1
7) Profit!!
If you set up your miners correctly on each Windows Server VM (I prefer to assign a separate worker to each one), you should be able to run them and see an output like this: http://i.imgur.com/3lECqSz.png. You can close your remote sessions without interrupting it.
How do you get the doge, you ask? Well, using the above setup I have earned 10 SecureCoins in the past 2 days. These are worth 0.00094 bitcoins (BTC) on Cryptsy at present. A doge is worth 0.0000007 BTC at present, so if I go from SRC -> BTC -> DOGE, I can turn 5 SRC to 6,642 DOGE on Cryptsy. There are also other exchanges, I won't go into how to exchange coins on this post. Remember, this is every day for about a week, for free!
Also, you can CPU mine on your own personal computers as well, not just the servers.
TL;DR
Mine QuarkCoin / SecureCoin using Windows Azure free trial, use Cryptsy (or other exchange) to convert to DOGE. Much more efficient than CPU mining Doge.

There are exceptions to the affiliate link posting rule and this is one of them: If you have a link to a reputable exchange or service that brings value to the community and we do not have it listed, yet. Legit faucets:
The point of the faucets is to give the links to your friends who are new to crypto so that they can get some free coin to try out. I keep rolling so that I can share my winnings with the people that sign up using my links. I set these the default startup pages in my browsers so that every time I open my web browser or a new tab it automatically goes here, that way I don't forget or have to try to remember to claim my free coins every hour... it's free crypto and it earns interest after a certain point, so why not? It has actually added up after doing it multiple times a day every day for over a year... once I learned not to waste it all to the dice game :)
