List of current UI/UX issues & possible QoL improvements (Megathread?)
As some of you know, I only make stupidly long posts and also like to humbly brag about being a software engineer with fairly decent experience in QA, automated testing and testing in general (6+ years a C# dev). This is my personal list of things that either make no sense, are unpleasant, incoherent, or could be improved. Please feel free to add to the list, I will come back and edit every day. Numbers are also here to help you quote & provide your own criticism. Note that is is done with the following optimization mindset, in order of importance :
Remove redundancy / incoherence
Reduce time spent in menus/inventory (out of raid)
Reduce number of clicks / interactions
As you can see I worked under the assumption that the average player wants to spend more time in raid rather than in inventory ; obviously this falls apart if that is not the case. To do that I try to improve time spent on searching / arranging things without creating unecessary automation or remove important/immersive aspects of the game, even in inventory. I also try to improve time spent clicking through various windows as currently a lot of them are done to be fast & easy to for the devs, not for the players. I want to emphasize that I'm okay with that. I know the importance of having sub-optimal navigation to help you find out what your better navigation is. I also know a complete rework is not always possible, that is why I made my list without changing too much of the menus as well as keeping the vibe/current feel of those menus. Keywords like should & could are used as intended ; since this is not a professional report I'm emphasizing here, the meaning of the word is important. Should means it is adding an improvement over an existing issue, could means it's a possible improvement but requires further investigation. Would means investigation was done and is just one possible outcome usually relevant within the context. Please note that most of us now are very used to the current UI/UX, which will generate two reactions: - "It's fine as it is because I can do it quite fast." - "I don't want it to change again, I'm used to it now." I cannot emphasize how unefficient it is to let those emotions get the best of you. UI/UX is the study of common sense & ease of use in an interface. You should never have to get used to anything, it should be fluid and intuitive. If you think you're fast now, that means it's possible to be slow. This is extremely bad for a UI/UX standpoint. Everybody should be able to navigate/understand the menus just as fast the 1st time than the 100th time (ideally). Keep this in mind when you read everything down here, because some stuff you probably won't like at first glance, but you will get used to it very fast, and you will gain a lot of time in the future, as well as new players.
Currently when in the workbench (and I think others? now I doubt), the list of craftable items appears to be random. The order should always be the same for consistency. Does not provide meaningful gameplay experience to have to "look for the recipe" every time.
4. Collecting crafts
Hideout stations could display the finished craft on top for easy collection of craft, or there could be a "Get Items" or "Receive All" elsewhere to avoid unecessary scrolling. This is uncessary if ongoing crafts are moved on top of the list, or if the list is autoscrolled to the ongoing craft. "Collect All" on station level is not the best idea. If you go in a station, it's probably better that you know what you're collecting. I suggest moving the relevant craft on top or auto scrolling and not adding "receive all" on station level, although it would be a good help. This should be investigated. Receive All or Get Items could be moved or added at the top or bottom of the window.
5. "Receive All" could exist at hideout level
The same way we "receive all" from a trader, it would be nice to "Receive all" from the hideout. Either in the form of a trader (in which we can receive all / pick manually from) or by instantly putting it in inventory. If there is enough space it just works. If there isn't, it displays an error like it already does. This is not mutually exclusive with the previous suggestion.
6. Display crafts readyness/collection
6.1 Hideout The current behaviour is partially coherent. You get notified when an item is sold, and you get notified when a craft is finished. You have a display notification "Attachment" style when a trader has something for you, and you should get a display notification "attachment" style when the hideout has something for you. Ideally, there should also be such notifications for currently unused station Receive all on the right, Nutrition unit has finished crafting and Lavatory is currently NOT crafting 6.2 Traders There should be a way of knowing if something is waiting in trader inventory on a global level (quest rewards, money, insurance, unsold market items returns), like the nofication. The "new item" notification could be always visible as long as items are in the trader inventories, compared to now where it disappears as soon as you either click it or visit the messenger. In this hypothesis, there could be a change of color in the notification to show that there are still item waiting including some that haven't been seen yet (to still fulfill the current role of the notification)
Note : CTA = Call to Action, it's the button your user will press 99.3% of the time. Example, in the launcher, it's the "Start Game". Clearly visible, easily accessible, highlighted, much bigger, and at a very common CTA spot. That one is great. Some others are not. 7.1. "Receive All" should not be displayed when there is nothing to receive. 7.2 "Get" in single transaction messages from Ragman could be removed. There is no reason to take single items from the window when you can receive it all at once. 7.3 A "group collect" Receive all action could be added when you click on the attachment notification, or as an extra action next to the notification (just like shown on the Hideout in figure 6.0) that would specifically collect all. it would loop through all conversations and collect all and dump at the top of stash, either until its finished or there is not enough room, in which case it displays an error. It could also work like the scav case and not pick up anything until you have room, and in that case you would go in the window manually and/or make room (like we do now). 7.3 The "Receive all" is at the bottom when most CTAs in the game is at the top (dealer tabs, market tabs, character sheet tabs, settings...). Save in the settings is at the bottom too. It is incoherent. It would make more sense to have all CTAs at the bottom and options/tabs/menus at the top. 7.4 The "DEAL" button in trader view is much smaller and less visible than the "Fill Item" checkbox. The CTA should be getting more attention than a setting. New players pretty much *never* see it first and look around the "Fill Item" with eyes & mouse. DEAL should be at the bottom in the current \"Fill Item\" box. Fill Items should be removed entirely. 7.5 Quests could be automatically accepted (no need for CTA). I don't see a reason why someone would not accept a quest. The only reason we're Accepting them now is to let the user know he has a new quest. There are other means of notifying players of new stuff : usually notifications. If not, that button should at least be more visible/highlighted. Every new player ( 100%! ) I coach does not see it at first and never looks at the right spot the first time. 7.6 "Insure All" is the most commonly used button in the insurance screen and could be emphasized more. Example 7.5
8. Remove "Fill Items"
The Fill Items to automatically fill the trader's requirements should be removed and set as the default behaviour. There is no need to fill items manually nor tell the game to do so.
9. Expire / Delete pending requests
Friend requests should be cancellable and could expire. Requests should not be stuck until another user acts on them. Right clicking the request could display a "Cancel" or "Delete" request button. Ideally, the cell should include a CTA on the right, as the only action I would ever do in a cell in this context is cancel. Opening a submenu with only 1 item means youshould notbe opening a submenu, but displaying a button where the user right clicked instead. I can only re-send a friend request to someone that already denied me. This is incoherent.
10. Market Rows
From my somewhat small sample (about 60 players), nobody uses the expand button on the top right of a cell (see below). I think everybody uses the right click on item instead. An expanded cell with context menu opened, and a collapsed cell The extra information available on the right is the exact same as a right click, but is hidden behind a left click. This is incoherent. The only difference is the profile picture that I only get from expanding, but currently we all have the same one. This would need to be investigated. This could be an improvement, displaying the CTA's immediately (although BUY is definitely way too small). Notice profile picture on the left 10.1 The expandable cell feature should be removed altogether, as the other options are available on right click. 10.2 The whole row should provide the same context menu (right click). 10.3 The "Send friend request" could be included in the row's context menu, or could be removed entirely, as right now most requests are missclicks. Adding the Send Friend Request at the bottom of the context menu on the row would reduce the amount of missclicks. 10.4 Left clicking should not open the context menu. This is mostly the reason behind missclick friend requests, people double clicking slightly off the item icon sending a friend request by mistake. Now I have 4 just because I was trying to make a screenshot. F's in the chat. This would be resolved with 10.2 and 10.3. 10.5 Barter items have a "Barter" icon that is redundant, the first and second column are completely irrelevant to the player. Example 10.5
11. Filtering search
11.1 "Filter by Item" should not filter the browse list. If you're writing a valid keyword in the search field it should display the correct suggestions. Filtering content is good, filtering suggestions is incoherent. 11.2 Filters could be cleared as soon as you type text in the search field. This would resolve 11.1 Example 11 11.3 "My Offers" could not be affected by filters, or could reset filters. It is more trouble to remove the filter manually every time rather than browsing through the offer list. Currently we never have more than ~10 offers at the same time for most players, which is okay to display without filter. 11.4 Filters should not overlap with other UI elements, they could be resized to fit or the expandable filter list could include more elements so the visible ones fit. Example 11.4 11.5 The Remember Selected Filter / Reset Filter is unclear. Looks great, feels weird, and should be investigated to be more useful.
12. Context Menu in player lobby
The current lobby with context menu open All players in this list are looking for a group, there is no need to write a status "Looking for group", it's redundant. The exception is friends, which 99.633...% of the time is the group i'm about to play with. Those are displayed on top. The only action we do on the list on this screen is the "Invite to group" context menu action. It's a CTA and should not be hidden in a context menu, especially if the context menu only has one option. Since recently it has two, but we'll come to that in a minute. 12.1 The invite CTA should be on the player cell itself. 12.2 The report action should not be the default one from the context menu 12.3 Since there could be only one item in the context menu according to 12.1, the report action could be on the cell as well. A low quality suggestion for 12.x
13. Trader Buy/Sell
Trader screen needs to be reworked. I won't provide a solution that doesn't completely change how everything looks/works as I stated at the start of the post. That being said this should be improved. Example 13.1 13.1 Buying UI should be reworked. When buying, the price of the item is already displayed on the item itself in the trader view. The price is also displayed a second time in the tooltip of the item if you mouse-over. The price is also displayed a third time in the barter area on the right of the image (middle of the screen in game). This is redundant. I understand the item on the right is the physical item "Roubles" in a stack that is paid, like a barter, but it does not need to be displayed a third time. 13.2 Quantity limit (red box in the image) could be shown in the tooltip ; most of the time people will hit "DEAL" until they get an error insted of actually reading the red box. 13.3 The red box looks like an error even when at 0/x, this is not intuitive. Limited items can be listed in different ways that are not so invasive. We could add "out of X" at the right side of the quantity box. 13.4 Barter item prices (if we assume 13.1) would need to also displayed differently. This needs to be investigated 13.5 Selling UI should be reworked Example 13.5 Currently selling an item still displays the full available items to BUY, this is incoherent. Especially from the "Sell" tab. The whole left side of the screen is wasted, and cannot be used. 13.6 Items on the left are not greyed out (even though I can't buy them), but items on the right are greyed out (because I can't sell them). This is incoherent. 13.7 Trader sell space should be infinite 13.8 Buy/Sell could be done in a single tab if the whole screen is reworked. There are different levels to this. An easy one I could think : "Trade" Tab instead of "Buy". Displays the same as the current "BUY" tab. If you ctrl+click an item from your stash, it instantly sells without confirmation. The second tab would be a "Buyback" where you can see what you sold in the current trade session. If you leave the screen your buyback is reset and items cannot be recovered. Another way would be to keep buybacks for the last X items. You would need to pay what you received to get back. The item would not lose it's FiR status. This preleminary and simplistic rework has issues, notably that you have to know to right click to sell. One way to fix that would be to make right click sell to trader instead of control click, but that would definitely make missclicks the first few days (and buyback would be mandatory). This could be investigated. 13.9 Currency exchange rates should be easily available in relevant areas (Peacekeeper, Therapist and flea market) for all currencies (Rouble, Euro, Dollar, Bitcoin)
Items should be boxables and moved around. At least to be dropped in boxes, ideally to be moved around freely. There is a limit of 20 images. 🤷♂ Example 14
15. Quest inventory
If you loot too many quest items in a raid, you can end up not being able to loot it. I assume this is by design and it is why you have limited quest item space. The quest inventory could be infinite if it's not by design to be limited. The quest inventory should be manageable. In my case i had a 1 slot item blocking me from taking the suitcase, I should have been allowed to move that 1 slot item to the top or to the right of my inventory, clearing a whole line and letting me take the case. Quest items could be stored in backpack (and resized) ; since you lose them on death it's not relevant to the players looting you or you dying and that issue would be gone. Storing it in your stash would also prevent you from losing it by going in raid with it by mistake. Taking it in raid or giving it to trader would be a volontary action. It also makes much more sense that way as other quest items (that are also usable items) work that way. Alright this ended up taking more time than my lunchbreak, and there is *much* more to write but for the time being I'll leave it at that and come tomorrow to add your suggestions or mine. See you in 24 hours.

Looking for opinions on my New Warriors re-write by a non-fan/non-comic reader
So I'm not a comic reader but the news of the various happenings with in the comic industry tend to peek my dabbling interests of political science and marketing. So when I saw the new "New Warriors" backlash I couldn't get it out of head that night so I laid in bed for the next 3 hours just working out what could make the characters more interesting. I recognize that by not being a comic reader beyond Dilbert I'm probably making a lot of mistakes but I'm honestly curious as to what actual comic readers would think of my changes. I'm leaving actual character designs to far more talented people though. So to start off with "Screentime" I came up with the idea that instead of some "Internet Gas" bullshit that instead he would have a large optical data storage crystal shatter over his head and embed thousands of various sized shards of the nanocrystals that make up one of these storage crystals. Idea came from this Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5D_optical_data_storage Now where I take it and twist it from reality is that all of these shards pickup various electromagnetic waves like Wi-Fi, Radio, Cell towers, etc... and being embedded in his brain means that he is still connected to the internet 24/7 unless he is in a Faraday Cage. Now as for his character I wanted to depict a teen that is both overwhelmed by the amount of information he now has sometime unwillingly cascading through his head kind of like ADD and the fact that he can find out everyone’s secrets both good and bad. Every text, every camera, every file server, if it has a electronic connection of some sort even a very low powered wireless one if he is in range he can access it regardless of passwords or firewalls. I wanted to highlight the he would make his own personal code of conduct not to speak of any of the things he now knows unless he is specifically working on solving a particular crime. So if he is searching for a murder and finds out that the murders best friend is a rapist he wouldn't tell anyone of this finding as its beyond the scope of his search. At times I would show that the weight of basically trusting himself not to violate everyone's privacy unwarranted is a unspeakable burden for a teenager. However as a teenager he would find silver linings to his power, like literally unlimited porn of every type imaginable, watching movies right off of the studios hard drives, mining bitcoin in his sleep, most importantly for his combat ability being able to access a vast library of 3D printed weapon designs and the machines to produce these weapons thus meaning that he is armed with the latest and greatest small arms. As I mentioned before if Screentime is in a Faraday Cage he loses his internet connection this can be used to give him a break from the overwhelming information he is constantly exposed to help him sleep or by a villain trying to remove his intelligence gathering ability. The only other thing that can block his reception is his Team mate Deadzone's shields. So next up on my rewrite hit parade is Snowflake and the now renamed Deadzone. Power wise Deadzone is the by far the most changed. Where before he could only raise shields if someone he cared for was in danger, which is the single biggest load of shit ever. Now he can raise various sized shields and shield bubbles at will. The thing about his shields is that they are all 3D shields meaning that while they are however tall and wide as Deadzone needs they are all 1 inch thick. Within these shields is a perfect void: No matter and no energy within. This means that say a Cyclops like laser blast is absorbed by this void until you get to a point where the interior of the shield is either full of energy or matter at which point the shield should be deactivated. However Deadzone can run the risk of holding the shield longer and suddenly the shield becomes an explosive as this void is now so full of energy or matter that only Deadzones powers are holding them together. This has its tactical uses but it can be hard to judge as if he releases the shield to soon or too fast then he can create a vacuum bomb inadvertently. This requires an extreme amount of focus if Deadzone is to avoid collateral damage and if he makes a shield too big for him to hold and/or it doesn't receive enough damage to fill up the void completely before he drops it he can easily do more harm than good. I should also note that while I mostly stayed away from speaking on the art design because I don't have enough skill to come up with a better original design than spandex suits. Deadzone and his powers are no longer pink. He looks the typical African-American athlete and his shields are pitch black due to their void like nature. Snowflake is actually more or less unchanged as far as powers go being your typical cryokinetic. The biggest change I would make is remove her woke pro-noun nonsense as that doesn't add anything to the character. Now the biggest change to both of these characters is their relationship to each other and how it effects how they interact with the rest of the world. So in some of the art that has been posted made them look to be far more than just brother and sister and seeing that they otherwise have relatively little less to make them standout as characters I decided to take that implied relationship and go straight for the teeth. So yes they are in a fully active incestuous relationship, this massive dark secret has made them comparatively insular especially when it comes to making friends however its also given them a different perspective on life. They see the penalty for being underaged superheroes as a comparative slap on the wrist compared to their main “crime” and thus show a willingness to engage in their work that is matched by few others. They are more emphatic then most of the other team members save for Screentime but that is because he probably already knows why someone is doing or acting the way they are. They are not woke however they simply accept people as they are and move on, not trying to draw attention lest that attention get turned on them and their secret gets out. This is their single greatest fear beyond loosing one another. The last character that I managed to rewrite is Trailblazer. She remains the leader and the “mother” of the group much as she had done in her foster home. She volunteers a lot both to help others and to hide the crippling depression of taking on so many burdens. This however has still reared it ugly head in her eating habits leading to her heavy build. After she gets sucked into the superhero role she one night hears a endless chanting coming from a box of things she had left from her parents among which is her grandfather's backpack. This backpack is a pocket dimension but beyond that time within the backpack can slow down greatly as much as 1000 years inside the backpack can pass for every second in the real world if the user so wishes it. Trailblazer sticks her head inside this backpack and falls in and meets a ancient Native American warrior ancestor this is the spirit that gives the backpack its power. He offers to train her inside the backpack much like Goku in DragonballZ using the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to do a years worth of training in only a day. Trailblazer takes him up on his offer and for the next 5 years or 5 hours in reality she is put through a grueling training regimen that turns the overweight teenager into a toned though still “thic” warrior. She is gifted a Spirit Tomahawk to serve as her permanent weapon that is always at her side as a symbol of completing her training and the new connection that she has with her ancestors. Though armed with this Tomahawk she still can receive or summon weapons from her backpack though her control of this ability right now is limited to simple melee weapons or bows and arrows unless she has time to sit down and focus on the backpack completely to summon a more complex object like a gun and its ammo. B-Negitive is where I finally threw in the towel. I have no idea who this Michael Morbius is and I couldn't see of any redeeming character trait or feature to draw from. Maybe if he was more human I could do a teenage Blade but I don't know how as a upstart writer to pull that off from the current state without just scraping the character completely. I'm looking for opinions and feedback as I have little else to do while on shelter-in-place and when I posted this in Marvel I got nothing after 5 days, I'm really curious to see if I was on to something.
... figuratively at least. For those who are unfamilliar, it's a fable, the premise of which is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in tepid water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death. It's like the 45th law of power: Preach the need to change, but never reform too much at once. If change is necessary, make it feel like a gentle improvement on the past. The writing is on the wall. It's been said from the beginning - it will only get harder. Now with the Hideout and many survival mechanics in place Nikita is slowly cranking up the heat. He does after all need to think about a stage of the game that will sustain itself without wipes, but needs to gradually build up to it. Right now, he's just manually fiddling with prices, changing barters, spawn rates and such. He's only getting started and we can make a pretty educated guess what will come next.
Prices will be manually tweaked on some key commodities (AP ammo, fuel, etc) to pseudo follow the market. We're already seeing this happen. At some point dynamic prices will be turned on again.
The hideout will start requiring maintenance, where broken down parts will need to be periodically replaced. And seeing how everything in the hideout cascades down, these might be almost mandatory if you want to keep your hideout running.
Fuel consumption will be dependent on your hideout use. If you want to keep it running full steam ahead with crafting and 50/50 bitcoin mining, you'll be burning through fuel quite quickly.
Speaking of fuel, there will probably be a gradual shift to get fuel in raid only. Even now I see increased spawn rates across maps. Food and Water will be probably only barter and loot only. So commodity runs will be probably a thing.
Traders will probably start having their stock shaved off with only barebones stuff will be easily available as a backup to keep you going or as a foundation to build upon as you loot.
Furthermore, traders will suffer shortages or days "off" when their supply lines get comprimised.
Trader reputation will no longer just be a hard gate for loyalty levels but also provide discounts, more rare loot opportunities or info about incoming transports or one off stashes with valuables.
Speaking of reputation, there might be some conflict between one or more (like Skier vs Prapor) when buying at one or the other where you'll have to balance your reputation.
All top tier meta attachments/mods will be loot only or in limited quantities once in a while.
Speaking of ammo - traders will probably have only standard types with the good stuff being mostly loot only or crafted in the hideout. Variable armor zones will make more ammo types viable.
Crafting will be drastically expanded upon and one of the centerpieces of your progression.
I think what Nikita is going for is a sort of reverse S-shaped distribution where the mid tier stuff is king, meta's are essentially unviable to run consistently, interrupted with periods of boom and bust. Where endgame will be a state that you have to maintain rather than a stage that you get to. You'll be less inclinded to min max value per slot but rather compromise what is actually needed and looting itself will be shifted from insta selling to the highest bidder but rather retaining what you found. I might be right I might be wrong, but hey.... that's just a theory, a gaaaame theory.
Want to scrap RMT? Reduce cheating and hatcheting? Dissolve the meta? Open your mind and let's talk.
Disclaimer #2: I wrote this early yesterday morning and since then, the podcast happened and FIR Flea Market was announced. I have redacted some sections as a response. Disclaimer: I know this is a long read and contains many sensitive subjects such as Secure Containers, the Flea Market, and Soft Skills, but it is simply a compiled list of ideas and in no way am I demanding for ultimate order in my favor or holding anybody else's ideas in contempt. I understand that my ideals may drastically differ from others. I only wrote this because of my passion for this game and my desire to see it succeed in the scope of what the devs outlined it to be, or at least how we interpret it: a hardcore looter shooter. I implore you guys to offer your own suggestions, ideas, and pick apart mine. This thread should only serve as the foundation for a greater Tarkov. First, let's establish some terms to better differentiate between the two types of cheaters. There are consumer cheaters who use programs to gain an advantage over other players simply for the satisfaction of winning. Then, there are commercial cheaters, who are using these same programs but in order to generate an income in real life. Commercial cheating will always be prolific in any video game that offers players transferable goods, and for as long as there is real money profit to be made, the benefits will continue to outweigh the risks. Any security expert can tell you that no lock is unpickable, no chain is unbreakable, and no password is unsolvable, but that doesn't mean we should all keep our doors unlocked, bikes unchained, and our passwords as "1234". And while a chain might not prevent your expensive road bike from getting stolen, having a chain, a disk lock, lojack, and the front wheel taken with you will certainly deter the grand majority of otherwise would-be thieves, who will of course, make an attempt on the less-protected bike adjacent to yours instead. Battleye is a good start, the equivalent of a quality bike chain if you will, but of course--enough to stop most consumer cheaters, though not enough to stop most commercial cheaters. So let's ask ourselves: Where should intervention be focused on the most? We could target the cheat providers, but they'll keep writing more cheats. A game of cat and mouse. We could target the (commercial) cheaters, but they'll just buy more accounts and more cheats with the money they made cheating. Cat and mouse. Who else, then, if not the problem? They aren't the problem. Your every-day player. He is the problem. Small businesses are closing for good because the risk of COVID-19 is preventing customers from supporting their establishment. Let's increase the risk for the RMT customer to get the product that they paid for. How? Make secure containers "read-only". Anything in your container can be "used" i.e. meds, keys, loose rounds for magazine packing, but nothing can be taken out or put in. It will then act as a non-transferable stash that can safeguard your valuables. No more accidentally dropping your S I C C case full of keys and then getting killed. However.. want to drop a keycard, case of bitcoins, or other valuables to a friend or a customer? It has to start and end the raid outside of either persons' secure container. This puts tradeable goods at risk for both the buyer and seller for the entirety of the raid, and not just at the extract when the transaction is made. This simultaneously makes PVP more rewarding. Now, when you murder that pistoling who risked nearly nothing and put an annoying crack in your shiny, expensive face shield, you'll be able to take the graphics card or LEDX off of his body to remind him that his chances at those items would have been greater had he risked some gear of his own. More gear taken into raids is more gear taken out of the economy. Combined with the current weight system, this is a necessary and intuitive money sink. On the topic of money sinks, let's consider changing how insurance works. Rather than insure items, we could insure ourself. Pay Prapor or Therapist a reasonable, fixed fee in advance to recover any goods left on our body (only what was taken IN to the raid. I was exploring the idea of having the game take a snapshot of your corpse's entire inventory upon the conclusion of the raid and sending it in the mail, but it would be too easy to abuse for RMT purposes. The seller could give the customer a backpack full of bitcoins and kill him in a bush for example). Because the body is insured and not each individual item, things such as ammo and meds could be returned without the bloat of having an insurance status on each individual bullet in a magazine, the primary reason I believe ammo to not be insurable currently. The fee could scale with the "safety" of the map. For example, Prapor's boys would probably feel less comfortable scouring Reserve for your dead body than a place like Factory, and thus the fee for body recovery on Reserve could be upwards of 100K and unless you were completely stripped, you would still probably make money back on unlooted ammo/meds alone. Factory on the other hand, because of how small the map is and therefore easy to find dead PMCs, the fee could be a reasonable 10K. This does two things: First, it stops insurance fraud. Dumping your gear (to ditch a thermal or wear someone else's kit, guaranteeing you get yours back) or your dead buddy's gear into a bush is unimmersive and bad for the economy. The current insurance system unreasonably rewards squad play for the wrong reasons, effectively removing the penalty for death if at least 1 competent person in the group survives (I personally frequent 3-5 man squads and it just feels unfair how much gear I get back when I die). Second, it sets up a new dynamic in place of insurance fraud. Now, if you want your buddy to get his stuff back, you have to defend his body or extract with his gear. This rewards scavs for properly scavenging, looking for the fruitful casualties of groups that made it out. This is good for the economy, as the punishment for death almost always will result in a transfer of wealth to those who work for it and not a retention of wealth for non-solos. Next up, the Flea Market. It has been expressed many times by streamers that the Flea Market has ruined the game and should be removed but on the other hand, there were people complaining that level 15 was too high of a level to access the Flea Market and it has since become available earlier. I believe that the Flea Market is the core reason this game experiences the stagnant meta that it does. Global stock and personal limits from traders mean nothing when you can just visit the Flea Market and stockpile VALs and SR3Ms to run EVERY raid. Of course I am nobody to try and force anybody to play a certain way or use a certain loadout, but I do believe that the game would be more exciting if rare loadouts were actually rare. One solution is to make the Flea Market "find in raid" only. Not only would this be another nail in the RMT coffin (it would prevent customers from selling transacted barter items for exorbitant prices), but it would mark the first true player-driven economy by removing flipped goods from traders. Traders could offer a (per-person, not global) tailored, but random assortment of goods each restock that you can piece together a kit from rather than a static array of goods unlocked by loyalty level. The (loyalty) level of the player would determine the frequency and strength of their goods. At Prapor LL4 for example, you may see VALs pop up more often, but once you buy them, that's all, and you have to wait until next restock and he might not even have any by then either. You might see a VAL available at lower loyalties as well, but even less frequently. Traders could then scale their prices dynamically to global demand (not the old, abusable system. This one would change the price incrementally based on purchase frequency. Global purchase frequency rising on a specific item? Global price on that item raises accordingly). This is good for the economy and, combined with making the Flea Market "find in raid" only, I believe it to be a solution to stagnant meta. How cool was it when you were new and killed that guy who had an SV-98 that you had to examine because you hadn't seen it until now? You'd get that feeling more often this way. Lastly, if the "find in raid" status is spoofable by cheaters, add a server-side check for the status. Now on to weapon attachments. Because of how unusable most stock rifles feel, there is a huge appeal for sticking as many appendages as possible to rifles to achieve that sweet <70, or god forbid, <40 recoil. Many of the attachments in the game go untouched because they don't offer even close to the arbitrary stat benefits of those in the meta. It is such a shame, as one of Tarkov's greatest strengths is the weapon modding system. I believe a step in the right direction would be to improve base weapon stats around the board (excluding weapons with fewer attachments such as the DVL) and and then nerf and bring each attachment more in line with each other, especially some of the outliers. Compare the RK-2 to the VPG for example. As such though, if an unmodded weapon vs a modded weapon wasn't night and day, it would promote significantly more weapon and attachment diversity. Of course some people are still going to min-max no matter how insignificant the benefits are. I would just like to be able to use a shortened SA-58 and be remotely competitive with a BMD'd 21" CASV SA-58. Or be able to C-clamp a Zhukov AK-102 without a foregrip and not lose to an equal-skill player 3/5 times who has the same gun, but with an RK-2. Soft skill requirements for tasks and upgrades should be removed. They incline people to figure out ways of abusing the system and given people a reason to endorse it in order to progress through the task lines and upgrade their hideout. Soft skills should only be a passive reward for playing the game, not something people feel obligated to abuse. Additionally, PMCs should start at a higher level of soft skills, say... 10, to reflect the training and experience they received during employment. It doesn't make sense that untrained scavs have the same physical and mental capabilities as professional soldiers. Certain skills as well can benefit greatly from a rework. Let's look at the following: Strength The elite perk is incredibly overpowered, but only because of how extreme it is. It could be changed so that each level of Strength increments a small % of the current elite perk, such as 0.5% per level, and then an additional 5% or so for elite, so at level 51, only 70% of the weight from worn gear would be counted. Run speed and Jump height could be reduced, and the leveling speed increased. On the topic of gear weight, now that the weight system has been introduced and we get slower the heavier we get, could flat movement speed penalties from armor be removed? 6B43 already weighs 20KG. Why does it also slow for an additional 42%? Nobody uses heavy armor anymore because the extra protection is not worth the forfeiture of loot AND lowered base movement speed AND lowered sensitivity/ergonomics. Sensitivity inconsistency is another issue and most consider it a cardinal sin in FPS games. Recoil Control Heavily reduce the benefits. -0.3% recoil per level totaling -15% at level 50. As well, -0.4% recoil on the first shot per mouse click. The elite perk could be an additional 5% reduction on the first shot per mouse click. This would be a nice buff to semi-autos and make them more competitive against the current laser beam meta guns. Search The elite perk, again, is overpowered. Perhaps starting at Search level 0, we should be able to search two items at the same time, but at 40% speed each if searching two items at once. If only one item is searched at a time, speed would remain at 100%. With each level, search speed for double search increases by 1% and single search by 2% and the elite perk adds an additional 10%, bringing double search speed up to 100% at level 51 without the black and white difference between levels 50 and 51. TL;DR: No TL;DR because I know some people will draw wild conclusions before fully understanding the content of the post.
Ammo is the most important thing for combat in this game. I don't think I put enough emphasis on this in the previous guide. How do you kill high tier geared players? Good ammo. Low gear? Good ammo. Spend your money here, not on gear or weapon mods. Best example I have is literally my last raid. I got one tapped by a mosin in a full tier 5 setup at full health. Vader helm, Killa armor, silenced M4 build totaling around a mil with ammo and mods. Missed his first shot, I located him, dead to one shot in the thorax. Good ammo trumps all. Here is the best ammo of each type for commonly used guns: 556: M855A1 < M856A1 << M995 545: BT << BS < 7N39 762: BP 12x70: Flechette < AP-20 762x51: M80 << M62 < M61 762x54: 7N1 < SNB < 7N37 9x39: SP6 < SPP < BP 9x19: AP 6.3
On that same note, take grenades into raids. Grenades are very powerful in tarkov. If someone is in range (which is significantly bigger than other games) they will die. A hatchling with a nade and some luck can take down the most geared players in the game. I would highly recommend at least putting one in your pouch for over geared/room clearing purposes.
Quick Hideout Note (thinking about doing a passive income and usual profitable crafting guide): rush for the intel center, the discounts of trades and scav run reduction are huge. Then crafting table, library, and air filtration are all useful. I get about 500k-700k in passive income per day from the hideout by just logging in a couple times. The scav box is absolutely worth it, the 6k rouble option consistently nets me 15-20k (up to 100k+). Bitcoin farm is maybe worth it? Its a big profit per day, mines already paid off, but takes 1-2 months to return its value at current prices. Best crafts are Ifaks at the med, m995 and other ammo at the bench, sugacondensed milk at the fridge, pure water at the filtration all depending on price of ingredients which fluctuate a lot.
Check out the youtube community for loot runs, quest guides, and everything else. Tarkov is a very hard to game explain in a written or word of mouth guide. For specifics, see videos.
Finally, have a plan before you raid. At least know the extracts and your objective (money run, quest, killin dudes) and exactly where those are for the map you're running.
TLDR: Shoreline for money, Interchange for consistency, Customs for quests, Factory/Labs for fights.I did a brief overview on money runs on various maps in my previous guide, but wanted to update those maps in light of recent changes to spawns and my experiences over the past month or so testing all the maps out. In profitability order: Shoreline - With the new addition of 6-8 LedX spawns, shoreline has become king for money. It takes the high reward possibility of Labs and mixes it with the consistent loot value of Interchange with the only draw back being the need for keys, which I purchased for around 3-4 mil for all good loot rooms ( 15 keys in total). This is a steep investment, but it is a one time cost, and completely worth it. You can expect an LedX about 1/7 raids clearing most LedX rooms. I got 5/36 shoreline runs, clearing most rooms about 2/3rds of the time, dying or being beaten to the rooms in the other 1/3. Unlike labs, however, these are just the cherry on top of consistently amazing loot in the rooms with easy extracts to boot. The big draw back is popularity, I run into at least 2-3 PMCs at the resort, usually 4-5 with a duo or squad tossed in the mix. They're usually tier 3-4 geared (I go tier 5 but don't recommend that unless you're good with losing a mil to a lucky mosin shot) and have a bad habit of hiding in rooms and ambushing. Interchange - For consistent mid value barter items, Interchange is your map. Nothing has changed from my original assessment, tldr version being run Oli shelves and the 3 tech stores next to it for about 500k-1 mil per extract, assuming you bring a decent bag and rig. This map has dropped in popularity with the Shoreline buff, but be on the look out for tier 5 geared PMCs doing their 100 Killa kills grind and the ever present extract campers. Reserve - This map still has great high value drops, less frequent than Interchange but with higher average value and requiring less keys than Shoreline. The massive drawback here is extract difficulty. If you can afford it, para-cord with the ice-pick for the repel extract is recommended as you just have to ditch/bag chest armor and you're out. Losing a bag for the manhole has required many a painful pick and chose for me recently and the door just isn't consistent, sometimes the button will be pressed but its still locked, other times its just open. Its a fun PvP map, but for money its just not beating the two above. Customs - This map just really isn't for money, its for quests. But with the addition of the new stashes spread throughout the map you can make decent money whilst running the quests. See my past guide/the link below for stash runs. Factory - Wait, Factory over Labs? Customs over Labs? Yes, I'm getting to that. So why Factory? Because quick, hit and run style or longer scav pileup at a choke-point style runs can net you tons of experience along with a big stack of weapons and decent loot from scav pockets. Solos try the upper hallway office/breakable door, the bottom pipeline hallway curve, or extract choke-point. Duos and squads can hold down the shower doors with ease. Labs - People who have read my previous guide might be surprise this is last. The issue with labs is its completely dependent on high level item spawn rates. Labs is my favorite map, I could write a lengthy separate post about everything labs. At the beginning of the wipe, labs was ludicrously OP. You could spawn in and expect a 1/3 chance of an LedX (2.5 mil at the time) along with 2-3 other 400k+ items spawning in each raid. This resulted in 10's of millions in profit. Then they released Shoreline LedX spawns and turned off labs LedX. The barrel spawn was completely dead (50+ runs and nothing) and the two other (at the time) known locations had maybe a 1/25 rate. You could expect maybe 1-2 other drops per raid and it was now crowded with PMCs. It was difficult to turn a profit doing geared runs, and I lost millions. Today its slightly better, there are 3 new LedX spawns and the barrel spawn has a 1/7-10 (still testing) rate but everything has plummeted in price (VPX is less than 200k now) and you can expect 3-6 tier 5 geared PMCs plus raiders to be skulking around. Great for fights, terrible for money. Though extracting will often bring huge rewards in gear alone in current state. ... - Feel like I'm forgetting one... Hmm... Nah they wouldn't put a thermal ridden snipe happy map in the game with no loot spawns and lots of annoying quests. (Don't @ me Woods fans)
TLDR: Highest level armor not worth, high level ammo makes everything vulnerable. Not doing the same tiers (see previous guide) but the actual armor level itself. For actual setups with armoweapons see my previous guide.
Level 1: Examples:3M body armor, tank helmetIs it worth: No. Its not worth it. Ever. The speed/sound debuffs alone make it not worth it because it doesn't stop anything besides terrible pistol ammo. This should be obvious but I see new players wearing it. Don't bother guys. Sell this on the flea.
Level 2:Examples:PACA/6b2 armor, Kolpac/SHPM/Djeta helmsIs it worth: No for all the helmets due to sound debuff, but kinda if you're really broke for the armor. Level 2 armor is effective against scavs and pistolings. It'll stop you from getting one shot from distance by a crappy shotgun or pistol and is extremely cheap. I'd mark this as the minimum armor on a budget.
Level 3:Recommendations:UNTAPRESS/6B23-1/Kirasa armor,SSH68/LZsh with face/Kiver with face helmsIs it worth: Yes. The chest armor should be the standard for every raid. Its still really cheap but will actually stop most low/mid tier rounds. This makes you much more effective against scavs and low-mid gear PMCs. The SSH68 helm is dirt cheap and should be worn for every raid as a minimum. The other two helmets for tier 3+ load outs. Kiver for no headset, LZsh for use with headset, both with the faceshield.
Level 4:Recommendations:6B13/6B23-2/6B3/6B5 armovests,Zsh-1-2 with face shield/BNTI LSHZ with neck cover and face shieldIs it worth: Armor: Kinda, if you have the money to get it fresh or are questing/fighting focused in raids. The main problem with level 4 armor is its lack of health overall and repair ability (essentially can only be used for 1-2 raids before replacing). It also is mostly to increase coverage on mid tier (5.45 BP/BT for example) ammo but does nothing against high tier ammo, so it doesn't offer much more for the price than level 3. If you have the money, however, it will increase survival rates. Helmets: Yes, once you have the black skier variant unlocked for the Zsh-1, and only with tier 5+ gear for the BNTI. The Zsh-1 helmet will become you're go to for tier 3+ armor the instant you unlock it. Its only 5k roubles more expensive with faceshield than the Kiver but provides level 4 protection on head and ears with level 3 for the face. The BNTI or Vader helmet provides a level 4 faceshield and nape cover, giving you full coverage of level 4 armor over all vital areas. This is better than the Fast-MT (most of who's parts only give level 2-3 protection) and the best helm in the game imo due to it not limiting your vision.
Level 5:Recommendations:Killa 6B13 Assault/Gen4/Redut-M armor, Alytn with face shieldIs it worth: Sometimes, but mostly no. I say this as someone who runs level 5 armor 50+% of my raids. But this is only because after awhile the cost stops mattering to you and it makes raids more interesting to be risking more and getting to challenge anything you come across. The main issue is its extreme expense and the ability to be easily killed by inexpensive weapons with high tier ammo. Killa armor + the Vader helm is, in my opinion, the best armor setup in the game due to having full visibility and high movement speed with coverage on all vital parts. But the amount of times that I've dropped the 400-500k on this armor only to die in one shot to a mosling or hunterling with high level ammo is ridiculous. Yes, this armor makes you immune to anyone with low/mid tier ammo, but high tier ammo, available to everyone through the flea market, cuts right through.
Level 6:Examples:Zhuk-6a, 6B34 "Fort" armor, Vulkan with faceshield helmIs it worth: No. This armor is the only in the game that will reliably take a few shots from the best ammo in the game, listed above. So why is it bad? First off, it has huge penalties. You are slow and bulky and loud. Second, unless you open up a hole in the armor with no face plate/level 3/4 face plates (making you not tanky), you have restricted vision. Its like being a world war era tank. Hard to kill, sure. But if they brought the right ammo for the job they can run circles around you and blast your blind/slow butt until you drop. Third, its very expensive. Zhuk-6a is the only possible option here really for price and penalties, but its also ceramic. If you're going to go tier 5, I recommend Killa armor.
Does this mean you should never run good armor? No. What it means is you should be aware you are likely losing value/money by doing so at higher tiers. Better armor will help you survive more raids, help with quests, and is a sign of being a more established player. But you are trading a LOT more money for smaller advantages in return, making it hard to recommend the more expensive armors in the game to anyone who can't handle multiple instant deaths in a row losing 500k-1mil.
New Warriors re-write by a non-fan/non-comic reader
I'm looking for opinions and feedback as I have little else to do while on shelter-in-place.
Before I begin, This is based on a true story of when I was attempting to finish farming part 1 tonight, and came across a hero.I apologize in advance for any bad grammar, as it just happened and I'm writing this at 1am before I head to bed. - fucking mechanic, why can't he fix his own damn control boards Nothing but the sounds rubble echoed off the decaying steel as I crept towards what had been described to me as a once in a lifetime get rich quick scheme.. Regrettably it wasn't the first time I'd been convinced by money over morals I thought as I looked down at what was left of my USEC badge, which I was thankful had almost been frayed beyond recognition.Something about an online market had crashed and Sergey, or the mechanic as we called him, had been able to stockpile whatever this "bitcoin" thing was before our generator, as usual, blew. Before the evacuation, Sergey had been a foreman at a local chemical plant factory, the same chemical factory we were able to scavenge the emergency generator from, and thankfully he was aware of where they kept their spare parts, including the fuses needed to repair our generator. Now, don't get me wrong. I don't have the slightest fucking clue how to fix generators, and had Sergey told me it would be fucking 3:28 am by the time I was able to get there you can bet your ass he would be the one here risking his life for these stupid bitcoins.. Not me. As I continued forward I saw the moonlight reflect off of the manhole leading to the decrepit service tunnel leading into the factory, I threw my rotting bag, still stained with blood from the previous owner off my aching back and took inventory one last time- Ammo... Check- Tools... Check- First aid.....uh.. First aid...Where the fuck is it?I swear to FUCKING god if this commie-addict motherFUCKER took my FUCKING PAINKILLERS AGAIN..FUCK YOU SERGEY. FUCK, fuck it... I don't fucking need em, I looked up at the night sky, screaming silently, and closed my eyes but it was so dark that I couldn't even notice a difference I took one last deep breath in and felt the cold, damp air sting my lungs before I slung my pack back on and inched down through the manhole into the tomb that was the service tunnel.... As I snuck my way up to the last door on the right, which I knew was the door that led into the factory because of the flickering, soviet area emergency light. I grabbed the handle and felt the coldness of the metal penetrate my glove, and with all my strength cranked the silo door open which sent sounds of nails on a chalkboard piercing through the air. I then threw all my weight into the door. Slowly, it creaked open and I was greeted to the pitch black darkness of Factory, I reached for my cracked USEC issued NVG's but it was so dark not even they could pierce the darkness. In front of me I struggled to make out a long hallway with gridlike cracked windows on the right side whom lead into an abyss of what I knew to be the main factory room. I inched onward, Nothing but the sound of my own breath and the squeaking of mice to comfort me, suddenly, I heard the screeching sound of one of the main factory doors being pried open, and the sounds of muffled scratches emanating from down the hall.. who else was here?My nerves were thrown to the side as over the sound of my heart pounding I heard a deep voice from the other side of the hallway. "Я чертовски ненавижу это место уже.." I froze like a deer caught in headlights, all I could do was lay down and take cover, a second voice boomed, "Проверив третий этаж, Дмитрий сказал, что оставил там компьютер.", then another voice that could have only came from a chain smoker chuckled, "Дамы вперед" once again the second voice mumbled, "отвали" Suddenly, down the hallway out of the darkness the moonlight carved the silhouette of a man lurking directly towards me. I saw the moonlight reflect off his weapon's chrome barrel, and without hesitation I raised my suppressed 74N as his eyes met mine *TSK TSK* Adrenaline rushed through my body as I saw his bloody mist paint the walls around while the whole factory shook as his corpse hit the floor, motionless. "О, БЛЯ" The man behind him rushed up to his friends corpse, and belched "ЧТО ЗА ХЕРНЯ" Panic overwhelmed me and my next few shots annihilated the cement behind him, one of the bullets managing to graze him while the shrapnel of the cement embedded into his arm, he let out a blood curdling scream. Suddenly night turned to day as I was blinded by the muzzle flash from their weapons allowing me to see the second man skimper behind a nearby wall, "БЛЯДЬ БЛЯДЬ БЛЯДЬ" Through the deafening ringing in my ears I pushed up as I heard a magazine crash into the factory floor. pushing to the corner I blindfired around it, muzzle flashes illuminating a man cowering, screaming, and clutching his chest as the third shot muted his screaming. Before I could turn to clear the other side what felt like a truck rammed into my back, I collapsed the floor but managed to roll onto my back and blindly spray into the darkness greeting me. holding down the trigger until click synchronized with the sound of a third body thumping to the floor.. The factory fell silent. My ears screaming, ripping my head apart with their deafening suffering. I limped my way to the only thing penetrating the darkness, the shattered window reflecting the moonlight in my attempt to lean against the window for balance, blood dripped down my arm as the broken glass slit through my skin like a razor. looking down at the bodies, I tried to make out their bloodied faces while I ripped the dogtags from their necks, but before I could apologize to them my shoulder was ripped off and through the ringing I heard as suppressed shots ripped through what remained of the glass in front of me, a second shot completely shattering what was left of the same arm. No longer able to support myself against the window I collapsed onto the floor, falling onto one of the bodies. in an attempt to scream my throat ran dry, the ringing in my ears silencing it. I try to lift myself up, but another shot disintegrates my right knee, and then another rips apart my left leg. instinctively, like a coward, I scream for help, but my voice disobeys, instead blood spills into my mouth, gurgling, fighting for my life I use what strength I have left to spit the blood drowning me, and wheeze out the words "help me" my head cracks back onto the concrete as I fall back onto my back, through my blurry vision, what light there is begin to fade, accepting that this is the end, I feel my eyes close as a wave of extreme exhaustion washes over me. I fight to keep them open, and out of the haze I see... a hand... and what I had thought to be the light fading was instead the shadow of a man stepping over me.. offering his hand.. and he mumbles the words "Огонь по своим" Without hesitation he kneels to my side and produces a post-soviet medical kit from his battered bag and immediately begins applying pressure to stop the bleeding, the bleeding he caused.. I scream in pain but no sound emerges, he administers a shot of epinephrine and begins applying a splint to my leg. Suddenly, he stops. What feels like years pass as lays the unapplied splint down, picks his weapon up off the blood soaked floor and braces his gun against the window before calmly putting two shots through it, in the distance, two thuds. he kneels back down and this time pulls me up against the wall and throws me what medical supplies he has and whispers "покрытие" before surgically placing three more shots through the window, in the distance screams emerge that ring through the factory walls. without glancing down at me he whispers "Все в этом чертовом городе слышали свои выстрелы" and takes a deep breath before quickly dispatching 5 more shots. as he's taking cover to reload, a barrage of fully automatic gunfire riddles the window and walls around us. I fumble to grab the splint he threw me and crawl over to my weapon before checking the mag "almost empty". Gripping the window sill I pull myself to my feet just in time to see more targets approaching the windows. I fire what's left of my blood-soaked magazine, incapacitating two in the process before hearing the *click* of an empty mag. The man, noticing the click, glances down at the three corpses and grabs one of their abandoned shotguns before throwing it to me. Gunshots ring throughout the factory as I excruciatingly limp my way back to cover, back towards where I initially entered the hallway, knives shoot up my leg as I begin to mend myself, Suddenly I remember why I came here in the first place, the fuzes, and I'll be goddamned if I have to go through all this again, I grit my teeth as I pierce my skin with the stitching needle and inject myself with additional epinephrine, I glance up and see sparks flying as bullets ricochet off of the grid like windows towards the man who tried to kill, and then save me. My eyes, which had now had time to adjust to the darkness, see a faint glowing red backup light directly above one of the fuze boxes Sergey mentioned. Sparks continue to fly across the hallway, Illuminating the sides of one of my partners arms, what I see sends a chill down my spine that freezes me in place. Hesitantly, I shake to raise the shotgun to his chest. Directly at what I had feared it was. Directly at his BEAR crest. If the rumors were true, being captured by a BEAR would bring a punishment worse than death. Time froze as he slowly turns his head towards me, slowly, twice, I squeeze the trigger. The muzzle flash blinds me, and what I see after is my partner drop to his knees, glancing down the hallway at the two scavs who had been approaching him from behind on the opposite side, unnoticed, drop to the floor, dead. Feeling my strength again, I point my partner towards the fuze boxes, nodding his head he continues to cover me as I pull two fuzes out of the box. sparks fly from the box as once again the factory falls silent. Not willing to risk staying any longer I grab his shoulder to signal I'm good to go and we slowly, silently, work our way while covering each other to the exit. As we take refuge near the extraction point, I reach out to shake his hand, hoping to get his name. He refuses. Feeling indebted, I pull my bag off and rummage for any valuables I might have to offer as some sort of thanks, I throw down the NVG's that weren't of assistance, but still held value, I also throw the dog tags of the three men I killed, again, he refuses, simply shaking his head no. Accepting defeat once again I regrettingly pick them back up as we walk to the exit, and glance at each other one last time. "Nice work, Bitch" "дикий вниз"
Hideout Trapping: An Idea to make the hideout work more for newer players.
The hideout can do a lot for us...
But one problem is that you need a large variety of upgrades to your hideout to save yourself time between raids, the hideout is one of those things that puts a very large cost to enjoy its benefits, but the hideout could be made to provide at least some real benefits to newer players (That are minor in comparison to what a pimped out bitcoin farm provides.) The idea here is to have a system that allows players to benefit from their scav timer more in that they can try to cull their playable scavs (With traps/IED's) while they are offline so that they may accumulate low level gear to insure and bring into raids when they actually do play. To allow for low gear players to refer to players with a low amount of somewhat sporadic and lightly customized gear, rather then a naked man with a Mosin.
Idea to make the hideout help newer players: Trapping your hideout.
When your hideout is trapped, a timer is started where eventually any unused by the player scavs will eventually be automatically killed, and made lootable by a players traps. This trap works as an inventory that a player puts loot in (Bait), and certain munitions in (Shotshells, Grenades, and dedicated trapping munitions like mines,) to create a scenario where any unused scavs by a new player will eventually kill themselves, and become lootable to said player. Under an ideal circumstance, these traps kill your scav automatically with a best case of 3x as long as it takes to get a new scav, with there being four factors to how long this takes:
How appealing the trap is: Putting trap loot item increases the speed at which the scav will inevitably kill themselves, however, these loot items trickle away even when a scav hasn't been killed by the trap. Scavs will take interest in even low value types of cigarette if they are poorly geared.
How dangerous the trap is: Adding explosives, and shotgun shells to the traps inventory increases as a second multiplier to the lethality, up to a hard limit for each type of munition. These munitions are expended when a scav dies to a trap.
Does the trap have a fresh corpse? Once the trap has killed the players scav once, a large multiplier is placed on the next scav kill, this decreases with time.
How well geared is your scav? Well off scavs take longer to automatically kill, encouraging players to quickly play scavs which are carrying goldmine gear, as these scavs won't fall for the trap anytime soon: These scavs resist both trap lethality, and will ignore loot item value which is below a certain threshold. Because of this, the multiplier on a scav with valuable gear would be rather large.
The most important part is, creating deathtraps to try and passively eliminate your playable scavs is available much earlier then the scav case (Which requires a large investment in time and rescource,) in that a players PMC should be able to start trying to trap scavs after their starting gear has run out.
Many of the trash guns that new players should never willingly buy still have decent sell prices. This creates a barrier of entry where a new player doesn't have much of a reason to want to buy gear, other then gear which allows them to one shot well geared players (AKA a mosin.) The barrier of entry is high, and the reward is low for most of the early game gear (Even more so when the flea market is given a barrier to entry which makes it so new players can't buy an off meta starting gun, and stock it with high end ammo.) This is aimed to give new players a trickle of low-risk gear that has a real vendor value at the least, such that the baseline level of gear for a PMC is slightly pimped out scav equipment, instead of simply being a naked guy with a mosin/nothing. This also is aimed to create a "Reverse gear fear" effect in regards to player scavs, in that new players could see an estimate of how long their traps need to kill one of their scavs, and if one playable scav had a long kill timer, the player would understand that there would be a strong reward to playing them and living, and a cost to not playing them: This is because survivability of a well geared playable scav becomes an obstacle to a new players passive income, an obstacle that they can easily solve by steeling their resolve, and playing scav raid where they risk some expensive equipment. In a sense, one of the key goals is to have a system that trains players to get over part of their gear fear, by granting both a trickle of low to mid end gear that can be insured, and an incentive to risk high end gear as soon as humanly possible whenever it is available on a scav.
What about the scav case?
The player would be blocked from using their scav case for a window of time after the traps secure a kill. The scavs wouldn't be willing to work for a crazy guy who is killing them with IED's. The idea is that when it comes to low end gear, the scav traps would be a lower throughput, but the traps require less player input to continue operating, as the traps serve as an inventory that when filled gradually makes corpses out of any low level scavs that you might have the opportunity to try playing. End game, the scav case will be better, as it allows for the targeted collection of higher level gear, with greater frequency, but early on, scav traps would serve as a special form of new player insurance. A form of insurance you pay in trash loot, and shotgun shells.
The new player experience is rough, especially with the mobile games style timers on a players healing rate, and the fact that inexperience is paired with trash gear. However, if we were to pair up the timers used for punishment (Medical timers,) with some means of providing gradual rewards and windfalls (Dead scavs,) we might at least be able to make it so new players can feel like they are able to try without resorting to the most min-maxed approaches available. With this we might be able to encourage mutually enjoyable low gear play style, in that high gear players wouldn't be finding as many pmc corpses with nothing, and low gear players wouldn't be gated out of using the low-end gear that could never be inexpensive enough to be worth using, so that they could build a habit of consistently using and insuring what equipment is available.
Friday, 1PM: I leave work early. I have to set up for the gun show early because the only time my mechanic has for the alignment rack for the next week and a half is friday afternoon and I am in need of an alignment to keep my Michelin Defender's in a nice predictable wear pattern. My loadout this weekend includes a whole bunch of the usual stuff, Colts, Sigs, HK's, Glock's a few Springfields and four Daniel Defense rifles and an FN SLP Mk 1. I haul over a few used guns that I just took on trade too, a Tavor 556 LH and a Mossberg 500 that I got for $100 off someone wanting to trade it towards a new Glock 23. Four trips with the hand truck gets everything in before the rain starts. I have reserved two tables but I have enough merchandise to cover three. The exhibitor tells me tables went up so two tables cost me $160 for the weekend and I consider it a small expense to view the express train to hell that is the gun culture. 45 minutes flies by as I set up my table just the way I want it and I get to Lenny's to get my alignment done. He's been doing an alignment for me no charge for the past 3 years after I told him NOT to buy an old Browning shotgun he fell in love with on gunbroker. He wanted to use it for upland hunting, sporting clays, skeet and anything moving through the air killing. It was an old gun that had FIXED barrel chokes - Full and Full. I told him RUN LIKE HELL. He said my advice saved him from a $1500 mistake and the least he can do is keep my car on the road no charge. He gets my car set up on his $80,000 hunter alignment rack and finds my toe in is way out of spec. He spends a few minutes banging around with a wrench and everything is all good. As he's doing that, since I know he won't take my money - I walk to the 7-11 across the street and grab him a tall boy of Rolling Rock. His week is so shitty that he shotguns it faster than Brett Kavanaugh circa 1982. Time to head home. I'm halfway there when the phone rings ring ring FC: Go for FC 1: Hey FC, it's Captain Bob. How's it going? FC: Good! I got your stuff fixed and ready to go on my desk. 1: I can be there in 15 minutes! FC: I'll turn around, see you in 15. Captain Bob is a four stripe left seat pilot for Delta on the triple. We love talking airplanes and guns. He's had me tune up an old 220 he wants to use at a class he's taking at FLETC later this year. Like a good pilot, he believes in a comprehensive pre flight inspection. And since his type rating says B777 and not P220, he wanted someone to make sure he's not taking a dud to class. All I did to it was give it a visual, clean and lube and although it probably didn't need it - it had a 20 year old recoil spring so I installed a new one just as a precaution. I get back to my desk and get his gun ready, cleared and slide locked back as he walks in the door. He just got home from running a 777LR to Johannesburg and back and is very pleased to see his old 220 ready to roll. I take my glasses off and point out he's got a little bit of slide peening in a few spots but just keep it lubricated and it's normal wear and tear since he does not shoot it much. He asks me if I have any 300 blackout ammo, I pull a case of 220gr OTM off the shelf. I tell him $450 on the ammo and the pistol inspection and recoil spring is on the house and he's having none of it. Hands me five crisp hundos and tells me to keep it. Just as I'm tucking the cash into my desk drawer, my door opens up and since I'm not wearing my glasses - I see a blurry silhouette of.....is that wonder woman? HUGE TITS on a small frame. I can't tell what's going on. FC: Hi! Lady: Hey FC, it's Lisa. I was just getting my wedding dress altered next door and wanted to say hi! FC: Oh hey! I'm not wearing my glasses so I have no idea what's happening! Lisa: See you tomorrow! FC: I'l be there! So anyways Bob, that was strange. I am normally not used to having my door flung open by halfway attractive women..... Bob: Neither am I! You should see some of the FA's on the J'burg route! We have a laugh. Some more airplane talk about the old 72's and I tell him about the time I greased it in the box on the A320. Turns out he flew A320's as well as boeings and we revel in the differences in both the airplanes. I really like the Airbus design and their workflow even though Boeing guys love to hate it. He's happy with his 220 and we pull chocks. I head home, throw a ribeye on the grill and go to bed early. I've got a busy day in the morning. Saturday morning I wake up at 7AM and look at my to do list. Shit shower and shave. The gun show closes at 5. Lisa's wedding is at 6. The venue is at the lake 39 minutes from the VFW hall. I have a plan. I will leave STRAIGHT to the venue from the gun show and I'll put on dress clothes below the belt. After all, how often do you look at another man's pants? I throw on an HK black NO COMPROMISE Polo shirt untucked with a black alligator belt and Canali navy slacks with my new Allen Edmonds boulevards in black. Socks by Brumell and boxers by Fruit of the Loom. I walk into the VFW hall with a non iron Lauren white spread collar shirt, Ted Baker tie and Canali jacket slung over my shoulder. Nobody notices the pitter patter sound of leather soles on the concrete as the show starts coming to life. It's 8:55. Lets get this show on the road. The loudspeaker crackles and lets everyone in the hall know the doors are about to open up and asks us to check all our guns for ammo and zip ties. I get my table ready and pull out my 4473's on clipboards and check my pens. FFL in frame is standing up on the table, everything is tagged and tied. There will be no discharge of firearms at my table as a result. 9AM: Show opens. It's dead. Deader than dead. Like, life support dead. Typically there is a line from the entryway of the hall and around the building to get into the show every time. This is not the show of years ago. This summer has been atrocious. I talked to the promoter and lots of vendors did not reserve tables for this and the next show. The numbers are way down. Some people start to trickle in but it's not a good sign. 9:30AM: A fellow walks up and asks me if I have a Sig 226 TACOPS with TB in stock. I don't but vendors do. He drove 2 hours to this show to try and find one since his local place did not have it. They're on contract with sig and refuses to order one from distribution to make him happy and Sig has no idea when they're going to make more out of New Hampshire. Well, thanks to Ron Cohen making 26 SKU's for every single pistol - that's what you get. 9:41AM: Fellow wearing an INFOWARS shirt molests way too much merchandise on my table than I'm comfortable with. I shoot a knowing eye roll to Noah over at the next table. He's a 27 year old jewish gold bullion dealer from Long Island that votes libertarian and laughs at all my jokes. He adjusts his RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT banner hanging off the edge of his table as I wait for Finger McBangerson here to go away so I can wipe down all my stuff. 10:23AM: Guy walks up to me and he says he's looking for a shotgun for competition. I point him towards the SLP at the end of the table. 10:24AM: Older fellow walks up to me and says he's looking for a gun for his wife as he lifts up a Colt Commander. I tell him that will definitely kill his wife. Guy looking at the SLP cracks up laughing. Older guy looks at me mortified. Then he gets the joke. Asks me about suitability of a steel framed colt commander for her. I say probably not a good first choice. Perhaps you should send her to an NRA basic pistol class. 10:39AM: Guy asks me what's the best I'll do on a Glock 17L. I tell him the tag is already priced more than fair. He asks if he can buy it with cash if he can get a discount. I'm like let me see. I ask him if he's got a state CWL. He says yes. I take off $20. He says it's a deal, hands me a stack of money, current CWL and a California drivers license. FC: Do you have residency in this state? 1: No, I'm here visiting for work FC: And you want me to sell you a gun with a California drivers license and no residency? 1: DUDE! KEEP IT DOWN! Do you have any idea what would happen if people found out I didn't live here? FC: YES I DO! They wouldn't be a party to you breaking the law! I hand him all his shit back and tell him to get on the next flight to Fresno. 12:01 PM: Lunchtime. I pick up my sammich from Jersey mikes and nobody fails to interrupt me to throw money at me. This is not a very good sign. 12:16 PM: I am scarfing down the last of my sandwich as Infowars shirt guy comes back around. We chat a bit about 1911's and he eventually tries to convince me that I need to buy the water filter that Alex Jones is selling to keep us from turning homosexual. I tell him now I'm not gay, but look at these shoes. I pull my left hock up and put a nice shiny new Allen Edmonds boulevard on the table. He seems to recoil in horror. As he walks away, I tell him he didn't even notice that I had them straight laced! They're fabulous! Nobody understands my humor. 12:33 PM: The vendor to the left of me is selling clothing offensive to the left. MAGA hats, anti snowflake shirts, ISIS hunting permit graphic tees, etc. I debate calling one of my guys and having "MAKE 45ACP GREAT AGAIN" hats made up. I call up r_shackleford and he thinks this is genius. We trade witty banter back and forth for a few minutes. 12:49 PM: The vendor in front of me is a gigantic pawn shop with 16 tables. There's a woman trying to sell them a rifle, and not succeeding at all. Sam looks over at me and points and says to her "you know, he buys guns too!" FUCK YOU SAM. FUCK YOU LONG. FUCK YOU HARD. The hambeast approaches and thrusts a rifle in my face. "WE BUILT IT CUSTOM" she says. "I NEED MONEY FOR CHEMO" she says. The barrel says 223 Wylde. The lower says Aero Precision. The price tag says $1500 OBO. I tell her she'd be lucky if she got HALF that in this economy. She complains that they really need the money and her two demon spawn that are traveling with her seem to be tired of her getting the same speech from every vendor in the hall. NO YOUR GODDAMN HOMEBUILT 223 WYLDE AR15 IS NOT WORTH $1500 It's not even worth $750 It's worth MAYBE the same price as a new PSA rifle - $350, $450 tops if you threw in the little girl. Editors note (start voice over here): Hi, I'm Matt Damon. Human trafficking is no laughing matter. For just a small donation of $50 or more, you can fight human trafficking. I prefer that you donate to Rapha House International, a charity dedicated to preventing sex trafficking and providing care and treatment to its victims. If you go to the post in the top of guns and donate, you can even stop shitposters like FirearmConcierge from posting stuff like this for the rest of the month if you donate enough money. This sort of support can only be made possible from viewers like you. Please, donate today. Stop the suffering. For the little girls. For reddit. For America. The lady looks at me like a truck stop rapist and inevitably proclaims that SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S GOT. Words fail me. I shake my head as she walks away with her demon spawn and I shoot a look back at sam and mouth very carefully YOU FUCKER back at him. Sam cracks up laughing. 1:12PM: I'm asked if that's a Dead Air Sandman on my table. I say yes. Guy asks to look at it and explains to his friend that it's a DAA Sandman and talks about the mounting system. FC: You know your stuff. 1: Yeah I just bought one. FC: I'm the only DAA dealer around here, you don't look familiar. Who'd you get it from? 1: Silencershop. Used the kiosk at a dealer in another city 1.5 hours away FC: Uh, I stock the sandman and would have made you a deal. Why'd you do go through them if you don't mind my asking? 1: Well it was a timesaver. FC: How's that? I mean that place I know is an hour and a half away without traffic, so you made a trip there to do your stuff - then back. That's 3 hours. Then another 3 hours after your stamps clear - so that's 6 hours in a car total. I can call the PD, make an appointment for you to roll your prints and you're done in 15 minutes. Photos at CVS are another 15 minutes. How is 6 hours a timesaver instead of 30 minutes? 1: Well I just knew that if I had to make more than one stop I'd never do it, so it was spend 6 hours in a car and get it done in one shot or spend 15 minutes doing fingerprints or photos and being too lazy to do the other one and never sending in the paperwork. So this was the better choice for me. FC: Uh. Okay? 1: Why don't you have a kiosk? FC: I'm not paying $9000 for something that's going to save you time and cost me money and then have to deal with being tech support and having a device in my place of business that compresses my own margins. We're down to making $50 on a can from making $350. This isn't a position I'm interested in taking. 1: Well, sucks to be you. I'm buying all my cans from silencershop now! FC: Enjoy your 6 hour drive. 1:30 PM: Man walks up with an old stainless combat commander colt. Series 70. No original box and sights. Looks well used. Thinks I’m crazy when I say I won’t give him $1000 on trade. 1:39 PM: Guy comes back. Guy wants me to put a can on his 1917 eddystone that is not threaded. He asks what he can get for $150 1:45 PM: Lady picks up a Trijicon RMR and asks to turn it on. I shove a battery in it and turn it on. 1: This is a laser sight right? FC: This is an RMR from Trijicon and RMR stands for Ruggedized Miniature Reflex sight - it uses a laser of sorts and projects it onto this lens here.... 1: THIS COSTS $500? AND IT DOES NOT EVEN PUT IT ON THE TARGET? FC: Well if you just look through the lens here you can see the red dot projected onto the glass..... 1: I CAN BUY A $30 LASER POINTER AND DUCT TAPE IT TO MY GUN AND I'D BE $470 CHEAPER AND IT WOULD PUT THE LASER ON THE BAD GUY! WHAT IS THIS GARBAGE YOU'RE TRYING TO SELL? She walks away. My mouth is agape. 2:15PM: Old guy walks up and points at a Glock 34 I have on the table. MY FRIEND BOUGHT A GLOCK IN 89 WITH NYPD AND SHOT HIMSELF HOLSTERING IT. I DONT TRUST THE DAMN THINGS and shuffles away without me having time for a rebuttal 2:21PM: Someone walks up asking me if I want to buy a used les Baer Comanche. I tell him I buy when I can make money. I look at it. It’s clean. He wants $1600. Street is about $1600, that's all the money. Street the gun sells for about $1799 NEW, which means I can buy it for less than $1600 new. I tell him this. He looks at me like Elizabeth Warren looks at Brett Kavanaugh and shuffles away. I shake my head as I notice a familiar face walk up. I can't place it. He looks at some guns. 2:25PM: I'm asked if I have a card from the familiar stranger. I reach down into my wallet and fish one out, I hand it to him and he smiles at me. It finally clicks. FC: Dr Livingstone, I presume. Doc: I haven't seen you in years, how have you been? (The doc is FC's old therapist. He can't say hi to me walking around due to HIPAA but if I open a dialogue, it's okay) FC: Eh, same old shit different day. I uh made some mistakes a few weeks ago and I thought of you. Doc: Oh really? How so. FC: Well uh. You remember that day when I told you to go back to the Office of the Bursar at UCLA and ask for a refund on your $125,000 post graduate education because it was nothing but academic detritus? Doc: Well, I hadn't thought about it for a few years but it sounds like something you would say. FC: It was right after you told me that I used 3 different quotes from 3 different academics in a span of less than 5 minutes to answer your question. You said that I intellectualize as a defense because I don't like getting close to people. I said you're full of shit. You asked me do I even know what intellectualize means? I said of course I know what it means, what do you think I'm some kind of idiot? Then you sat there grinning like a Cheshire cat at the thought of making me eat my own words. Doc: Haha. Now, that sounds familiar. I remember that. FC: Well I don't know how many patients are willing to say it but you were right and I was wrong. Doc: I don't get much pleasure in hearing that, but did you learn anything about yourself? FC: It took a few years to realize you may have been right all along but yeah. Doc: Then what does it matter who's right or wrong as long as you learned something? FC: Hmm. That's not bad. How's business? Doc: Full appointment book and not taking new patients. FC: I guess you could say it's........a little crazy? Doc: I missed your humor. Tell me about this Glock 45... I show him a few different guns and crack jokes about disgruntled patients. He says he'll think about arming himself what with crime and mentally unstable people being growth sectors in this post-trump apocalyptic nightmare. I tell him to be fore warned is to be fore armed. He seems reticent, but I can only lead the horse to water. I can't make him drink. 2:51PM: Fellow walks up. 1: I need a colt ladysmith. Do you have one? FC: the colt or the ladysmith? 1: The colt ladysmith FC: is it a colt or a smith? 1: smith FC: which model? 1: the ladysmith! FC: I know but I need to know what model. They put that on a bunch of different guns 1: it’s the one with writing on the side of the gun. It says. LADY SMITH on it. You know the one I realize the strongest case for repealing the second amendment is spending a day talking to people at the gun show. 3PM: Two hours left to go! The end is in sight! I haven't sold a single fucking gun yet! 3:02 PM: Man walks up. Hey do you have the new Sig 925? FC: You mean 365? 1: No the 925 FC: Sig does not make a 925 1: Yes they do, it's the new one. FC: The 365? 1: No! The 925! FC: Can you show me a picture? 1: It's the one on the magazine. FC: Most of sigs guns have magazines. 1: I mean the one in print. It's on the cover. FC: The cover of the periodical you mean? 1: Yeah! You know the new one! FC: Well if it's on the cover, it should be easy to find on google. Can you show me a picture? 1: There's nothing coming up on google for the Sig 925 FC: Maybe perhaps its because it's the sig 365? 1: I'm telling you it's not that. It's the new one they just came out with. It's the 925. FC: Care to make a wager? 1: No. FC: If you bring me a photo I can try to narrow it down. 1: I'll find the magazine at home and bring it in tomorrow. FC: Periodical. 1: Whatever. 3:11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUFSB2plwzM 3:12: Numismatist neighbor Noah asks me a question Noah: Hey! What's a hi point? FC: A cry for help! (everyone laughs) Noah: No I mean price wise? FC: Like $100, they're garbage guns. Me and Noah start talking. I am moving more and more libertarian every day. He's the treasurer of his local LP chapter in Suffolk county. For a jewish kid from Riverhead, we sure have a lot in common. We get into an animated debate on the virtues of Kelo v New London in that it was a shitty position for the town of New London to take Susette Kelo's house for redevelopment under eminent domain. If they wanted to redevelop it, for the government to use eminent domain is a government run amok. As a libertarian, he hates government overreaching - as someone who also hates that sort of thing, we are in very vocal agreeance. The tshirt vendor is listening to us debate the merits of the case and how the SCOTUS created a TERRIBLE precedent regarding government using the takings clause and when we finish he asks us a question. TShirtGuy: How the fuck do you two know so much about a supreme court case? Noah: Well, when you went to college and you're an economics and pre law major.... FC: Let me make it simple. WE ARE NERDS! Everyone has a laugh. TShirtGuy: Speaking of funny, check this out! He holds up a shirt. It says in big print on the front: the the reason gun shows exist is so women can know what it’s like for when they drag men to the mall I chuckle. 3:13 PM: I get in an argument with the republican candidate for office of something or other on gun laws. He is stupid and he is going to lose. 3:23 PM: A nice lady walks up. She looks familiar. She looks at some guns and feels up a 226 and remarks how well she likes how it handles. FC: You're Bernice, aren't you? Bernice: Why yes I am! You do not look familiar. How do I know you? FC: You're still working at the courthouse right? Bernice: That's right! FC: Judge Snyder, right? Bernice: No! He moved up to the appellate circuit last month it's... FC: Judge Reinhold! That's right, one of his JA's called me to buy a gun last month. I forgot Christine told me, you're right. Bernice: Holy crap, you have an incredible memory. When was the last time you were in front of Judge Snyder? FC: Four years ago. I was the one that filed the motion citing the big lebowski. Bernice: OH MY GOD THAT WAS YOU? I remember that! FC: Yeah and I had to go dumpster diving to get my phone back. Shit, was that really 4 years ago? Fuck. We talk more about guns and stuff. She loves her old West German 226. I tell her that if she really wants to have some fun, she should ask Judge Snyder to tag along on his next range day. About two years ago, the judge called me up asking for some advice. He's Tet offensive era USMC and wanted a new toy to reach out and touch someone and was dead set on getting a new SR25. I talked him out of it because SR25's are stupid expensive. I knew of another dealer that had a T&E 20" SR25 that they were looking to unload cheap and I told him that with the amount of money he'd save going to the T&E gun versus the new one - the delta would more than cover a Nightforce NXS, rings and mounting and that would save him money and be a good performer. I'm friends with his daughter on facebook and they both looked like they had a lot of fun ringing the gong at the gun club. Bernice is impressed. Too bad she's not my type, we'd get along fantastically if I was 15 years older. 4 PM: 60 minutes left to this shit show. 4:04PM: The loudspeaker crackles. ATTENTION ATTENTION: BRETT KAVANAUGH HAS JUST BEEN CONFIRMED TO THE SUPREME COURT. The proletariat rejoices and hooting and hollering typically reserved for the LSU game breaks out in the hall. ALSO WILL THE RED JEEP PARKED IN THE FIRE LANE PLEASE MOVE - YOU ARE BLOCKING THE BBQ GUY FROM LEAVING. RED JEEP. MOVE OR YOU WILL BE TOWED. 4:11 PM: Guy walks up in civvies. 1: I wanna buy this but I’m not a state resident FC: well what’s your deal? Give me some more to work with. 1: I’m from Texas but I’m in the military FC: if you got your orders - PCS to any base in this state says you’re a state resident, but if you don't - I can't help you. I know a lot of guys don't travel around with their orders.... JUST AS I SAY THAT the guy pulls out a wad of hundreds out of his pocket and his PCS paperwork, signed, rubber stamped and billeted. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. I give him the clipboard as I look at his paperwork. No blank spaces, approved change of station to Barksdale AFB, address reads base housing, everything is in order for the young airman. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. THIS IS AMAZING. Forms done correct on the first swing. I AM WAITING FOR THE OTHER SHOE TO DROP. I call in the transaction and they tell me that the national system is down. NO IDEA WHEN IT'S GOING TO BE BACK UP. I tell the USAF that the system is down and we can't do anything. He takes my card and hands me money and says just call him when it's ready to be picked up. Huh. Okay, he's cool with that. His girlfriend lives over here so he's back here every weekend. Done! I mark up the paperwork with some notes. 4:23 PM: One guy just walked up and told me that he had no idea HK made rifles. Apparently made a bunch of rifles a few years ago and stamped glocks name on them for Glock. Since Glock can't be found out to be making rifles. This captures the attention of another guy who asks me if my Glocks on the table have fluted firing pins. I tell him they do not make fluted firing pins. That makes no sense. He says yes they do make sense. They're fluted so they shoot underwater. 4:28 PM: Noah's table has someone in front of it debating buying some gold. As they delve into the discussion of gold and FIAT currency, I hear the following. 1: Bitcoin is a webpage. It’s like buying stock. Bitcoin issues shares and it dilutes so the price goes down. Noah: I don't think that's how it works. 1: You’re basically buying a part of a big webpage FC: This is like listening to someone try to explain that pi is exactly 3. Noah: What's wrong with you? FC: I am the Anthony Bourdain of the gun world. I eat, I drink and I yell at idiots. 4:45 PM It's getting close to show close, I need to get ready for the wedding. I grab my Lauren shirt that thankfully is non iron and just dressy enough to work and just casual enough to be worn without a tie if you need to and whip off my HK polo. I put on the shirt and tuck it in as I notice a lovely couple walk up out of the corner of my eye. Its Jim and Jane, Jane is a pharmacist that works at the hospital and Jim is a Gastroenterology resident at the hospital too. They buy lots of guns from me. I finish tucking in my shirt as we talk shop. Jim wants 6 cans, 3 handgun and 3 rifle and wants to know what his options are. I rattle off all the options I would look at and I write some down on a legal pad for Jane to show him on the computer when he gets home. We talk 762 vs 556, 45 vs 9mm and direct thread vs QD for about 10 minutes as I tie off my blue Ted Baker tie into a Pratt knot. The apex of the tie just touches my belt buckle. Length is right on the money, and I didn't even have a mirror. Jane approves of my knot and color selection. Go me. 4:55 PM: Fabulousness achieved, I call back in and find out national system is still down. FUCK. Well this is gonna have to wait till tomorrow. I shove Airman Cecil O'Malley's paperwork under the table and start stowing stuff since the show is about to close. 4:59 PM: Table is covered up and FC is walking out the door as the announcement crackles over the loudspeaker. THE SHOW IS CLOSED. PLEASE LEAVE THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR. 5:01 PM: On the way to the wedding! I stop at Target along the way because I've forgotten to get a card. I find one that says "It was meant to brie" on the front. It has some greeting card herpes, aka glitter on it but I have no time to be picky. As I'm in line to checkout I write something cheeky. "I always said love was cheesy and I camembert it sometimes.....Love, FC" The cashier scans it, I plug my amex into the card reader as I slip in a yard in there and seal up the envelope and slide it into my jacket pocket. The ride to the lake breaks every speed limit in two counties. 5:45PM: I arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony is about to begin and the parking staff puts me in the back lot. I hike over to the open bar and get a fresca. I'm supposed to behave myself, so FC quit drinking and is just chilling with a fresca as he scans the room. I know NOBODY at this wedding except the bride, groom and MAYBE the bride's massage therapist. Nope. I know nobody here. Awwwkward. I behave myself and sip on a fresca as the wedding starts. She gets married. She says yes. He says yes. FC is an ordained minister and can step up and marry someone in case there's an emergency but my services will not be needed at this wedding because things are going smoother than a cold filtered miller genuine draft. It's all good. The DJ announces the new couple and they walk down the aisle together as husband and wife for the first time. The music starts playing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNEgUPKxk7A ITS HEAVY D AND THE BOYZ! I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO TO A WEDDING WHERE THEY PLAY THE COUPLE OFF TO HEAVY D! I mention this to the people sitting next to me and they're like it's just like hitch! I'm like what? They go on to explain to me that it's a movie. Starring Will Smith. Huh. Didn't see that one. 5:45 PM: The open bar and the food is coming out. I look around and I definitely do not know ANYBODY HERE. I need to eat and go home. I grab a plate of cocktail shrimp and some lobster sliders and sit down at a picnic table away from the crowd. I don't even notice a busty brunette with cleavage showing also sitting at the table staring at her phone across from me until she says hi. 1: Hi. FC: Hi. (I scarf down a lobster slider. Munch munch) 1: So how do you know the lovely couple? FC: Well she was a friend of a friend and next thing you know I'm showing up to the Christmas party and the wedding. Then Seth is showing up and then they're getting married. You? 1: I work with Lisa, I'm a flight attendant. But I've been out of work for a few months. We had this thing at work. It's called a fume event. I happens when well uh how do I say? FC: Contaminated bleed air via the pneumatic air conditioning kit - or PACK - gets into the cabin, causing all sorts of respiratory irritation and all sorts of other things for the crew. You're on the 320, right? 1: The airbus? Yeah. Me and Lise are also on the.... FC: 321 and the 319. Yeah, I'm familiar with the technology. 1: You're a pilot. FC: Not exactly. I just know airplanes really well. 1: So you're an aerospace engineer. FC: I wouldn't go that far. Hahaha. That's stretching it. A lot. 1: Let me get this right. You're friends with Lisa and Seth, you know airplanes, you're the only one at this wedding actually wearing a suit...... FC: To be fair, it's Louisiana in October. We're lucky most of the folks here aren't wearing Mossy Oak and Realtree. 1: Hahahahahhah! You must live in Baton Rouge! FC: I do. 1: Me too! What part of the city? I live in (names neighborhood) FC: I'm over in (neighborhood next to her) 1: OH MY GOD! That's 10 minutes from my house! So anyways, you're smart, you're funny, where have you been all my life? I'm Ally. FC: I'm Will. 1: You wanna get dinner together? I literally do not know anyone else here and I was thinking about leaving before I met you. FC: Uh sure. Lemme just top this fresca off. 1: I'll join you. 6:15 We're told by the bartenders to grab a ceremonial wedding tervis tumbler with a patch commemorating the happy couple's nuptials hermetically sealed inside. They didn't want a bunch of red solo cups going to the dumpster so they decided to ball out. I walk up to the table where there's literally 200 tumblers in varying colors to choose from and I grab a random one as Ally grabs one too. We head to the bar, she fills her with vodka and sprite. I top off with ginger ale because I'm staying sober and I have to drive 45 minutes back to casa de FC in BTR. She asks me how I know so much about airplanes, I tell her it's been a lifelong obsession and I've done some ground school on the 320 and the 737 and I much prefer the 320. I ask her what's tough about her job and she tells me that most people don't know they only get paid when the doors close. I say yeah, block time is a real bitch sometimes. She looks at me like I'm crazy. I'm like what? She's like HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT BLOCK TIME? I told you, I know airplanes. We chat some more as the crowd gets drunker and drunker and more ridiculous on the dance floor. Someone requested Strokin' by Clarence Carter and the DJ ACTUALLY PLAYED IT. Goddamnit Lisa! HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A DO NOT PLAY LIST? Wow. 7:10 PM We find some seats for dinner as the buffet opens up, I pile a bunch of chicken marsala and beef wellington on my plate and we head back to the table. She's only a few years older than me and cannot believe that I am single. She asks if I've tried tinder. I tell her the tinder story about me being stuffed into the back of a police car and it is met with raucous laughter. 1: So, do you dance? FC: I do a lot of things, but I don't dance. Baton Rouge is the city that rhythm forgot. 1: I don't really dance either. As a matter of fact, I'm perfectly content to people watch all night with you here by my side. Her hand ran down to touch mine. It had a ring on it. FC: What does your husband think about that? Next thing I know, Lisa and Seth have dropped by the table to say hello. They're taking pictures with everyone and we can't continue the conversation we were just having. Lisa dives in to hug Ally, Seth gives me a handshake, sips my drink and asks why there isn't any bourbon in that tumbler. FC: Gotta behave myself. Long drive back home. Ally: OH MY GOD LISA! Will is FANTASTIC! Where have you been keeping him? He's funny, he's amazing and he looks hot in a suit! If I wasn't married, he'd be the perfect guy! (We're cut off by Lisa, she looks at me sternly.) Lisa: WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? FC: What? Lisa: Yesterday! When I was getting my wedding dress fitted! You called me a half attractive woman..... FC: It's not a normal occurrence! Most of the women who open my door are total heifers! For real! Take the compliment! Lisa cracks up, and Seth who has had a few drinks laughs so hard that he damn near falls over. You can hear the cackle of his laugh carry across the lake. The best man props him back up and they all have a laugh. The wedding planner slides in and tells the bride that her cake has been outside of refrigeration for an hour and 15 minutes now and is structurally deficient. They need to cut it now before it collapses in upon itself like a black hole. Lisa grabs Ally, Seth grabs me and the rest of the table follows. We're now part of the wedding cake cutting crew. 7:15 PM: The entourage all takes their Instagram positions as Lisa cuts into her structurally deficient cake and Seth resists the urge to do anything cheeky and fun with frosting. It's cute, everyone toasts the newlyweds. 7:20 PM: I pull Lisa aside privately and I ask her - what the fuck is Ally's deal? "If I wasn't married he'd be the perfect guy?" WHO THE FUCK SAYS THAT? A married woman? At a wedding? To a guy she JUST MET? Lisa: Look, I have no idea how her marriage is going or what her deal is. But just because there's a goalie doesn't mean you can't score. FC: WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN? Lisa: It means that maybe, if she's throwing herself at you......you should catch her. I gotta go throw the bouquet. Brb. FC: ..... 7:25 Lisa goes to throw her bouquet and Ally has found me and is back at my side. 1: Where were we? I was just saying to Lisa that I was wondering where a guy like you has been all my life? You are awesome. FC: I am awesome, and you are married. 1: Yeah, I know. Come on, I really want you......I mean I really want you......to go photobooth with me. Come on, it'll be fun. She grabs my arm and drags me to the photobooth and she puts ridiculous hats and stuff on me. I'm like no, I've been looking ridiculous enough from birth. i'm good. She literally begs me with puppy dog eyes and does that thing where she shows cleavage. FC: Isn't this like against one of the ten commandments? Thou shalt not......photobooth with another man's wife? 1: Hmm. Yeah, I guess. You're really sweet though. If I was single, I'd be all over you right now. FC: Who says that? Really? 1: So, answer me this. You're not an engineer. You're not a pilot. What do you do? FC: Gun dealer. 1: So if I had something like an AR15 that needed some work, you'd be the guy to call? FC: Maybe, depending on what you needed - there's a lot of things where I'll just tell you flat out what you're trying to do is uneconomical and a bad idea. 1: Well, I'd really like it if you could check out some of my equipment sometime. FC, internal monologue: WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE FC, external monologue: Bring it by the gun show this weekend and I'll see what I can do. I crack an uneasy smile as she gets up to go use the bathroom. I decide it's time to get the fuck out of here. 8:11 Making my escape plan proves to be a little tougher than I expected. The parking at the venue at the lake is dark and unlit and I have to navigate my way back to my car in the dark using the light from my phone. I reach into my jacket and I realize that their card is still inside. Fuck. I gotta go back. I turn around and head back to the gift table and I use some ninja recon skills I picked up in catholic school to make sure Ally is nowhere nearby. The coast is clear. I walk up to the little birdcage they have for cards, drop mine in confidently and get ready to turn on my heel and leave. I start making my way back to the parking lot when Seth is just walking out of the bathroom next to the gift table. 1: Hey man, you heading home? FC: I am now, forgot to drop off your card. 1: Ally thought you left without saying goodbye to her, so she asked me for your number. I gave it to her. FC: Oh dear lord. 1: What? FC: Did you hear that woman? "If I was single, you'd be the perfect guy!" Those words are not in a vocabulary of any married woman I know. 1: Dude, you just gotta chill out and go with the flow man. It's not your marriage. If she wants a piece of you, cut her off a slice. FC: Are you serious? 1: When I met Lisa, she was still married to Freddie. Look at us now, 7 years later and we're happy. You want to be happy, don't you? FC: Yeah but.... 1: No but's! Go storm the castle! I gotta go, but I'll catch you at the afterparty tomorrow night! You going? FC: Yeah at your house right? 1: Yeah, what time the gun show wrap up? FC: 4, so I'll be out by 5. 1: I got steaks going on the grill at 3, I'll get save a nice one for you. You still a medium rare guy? FC: You know it! 1: I think Ally is gonna be there too, you two should get to know each other a little better. FC: That's what I'm afraid of! Seth goes back to his wedding, I hop in the car and drive home. It's almost 10PM as I approach the Jersey mikes by my house. I stop in to grab a sandwich for Sunday. Just as I walk up I hear one of the sandiwch makers swear she's going to slit the throat of the next person who orders a sandwich. Eep. I tell her I need a giant 9. She starts making me one. I ask her if she's trying to get out of here right at 10? She says yeah, she's trying to catch the end of the Yankees/Red Sox game. I tell her my old man was from Brighton and my mom was from Elmhurst, so there's no love lost there. We have a laugh. She caught the Yankees pummeling the A's in the wild card on Wednesday. I whip out my phone and check the score for her. Yankees are up 6-2. I tell her she should be able to catch the end of it at home or whatever sports bar she's going to. She tells me she's going to the outback steakhouse the next block over to watch it and they better have the game on when she rolls up in 15. I tell her I'll do her one better. I dated the bartender there (once, she friendzoned me) and I'll message her on facebook to have it on for you. It is at this moment, I am asked for the second time that evening - from a strange woman I've just met - where have I been all her life? I head home, throw my sandwich in the fridge and head to bed wondering WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE? Did FC like get game all of a sudden? Donald Trump is President. The Eagles won the super bowl. You can't make this shit up. I got one more day at the gun show too. Postscript: As I write this, it's Columbus day and the Indians, the Redskins and Braves all got their asses handed to them. We truly live in interesting times.
To BSG, Expecially Nikita i Would also love for Kotton,Klean,Deadlyslob to put their 2 cents.
i wanna first apologize for my english , im not native im self taught. Hi everyone , Expecially Nikita for creating a game that i dreamed of since i was a kid. all the other streamers i mentioned its just because you guys play the game alot "just like me" and know pretty much everything about tarkov. i wanna start off by mentioning a few things about myself to avoid that the kids start spamming "fanboy/l2p/" and all kind of trash comments that i will ignore accordingly. Currently Level 42 Ingame "finished all quests on Day 3" This is a list of what "I" myself think , can make the game better , QOL improvements , changes and tweaks. Also here's my Sys Specs when we get to talk performances. 500gb SSD samsung 840evo i7 6700k Overclocked to 4.8 Ghz. 32gb DDR4 XMP 2.0 2400mhz Corsair Vengeance LPX Asus Rog GTX 1080ti lets address the first thing that has been seen as an issue. 1) Hatchling. i dont care about hatchling , myself rarely i go for a couple of factory or shoreline hatchet runs , trying to get from 0 to hero just for the challenge of it. A Swing of an Hatchet to the head WILL kill you IRL. so its only fair that the hatchet change gets reverted. to make it "more fair" Left Click on head has to be oneshot , even with 0 STR. Right Click has to be double tap , a blunt hit on the face IRL wont kill you , but will surely stun/disorient you , do alot of damage (just apply the same effect as when you get headshotted with a helmet. ALSO IMPORTANT: to remove "atleast for the moment" some of the desync issues. Remove the Runspeed bonus while Wielding a hatchet. So hatchet is reliable , but not "abusable" for the state of the netcode and servers at the moment. 2) Performance/Netcode: Big issues with the performances atleast from my own experience its only when Scavs are present on the map , and in big numbers. as for the netcode even if Everyone says its better , atleast for me its not. I've noticed in this patch that there's alot more Unregistered Hits on people. in patch 0.7 i could reliable 1 tap , 2 tap people with ease , in this patch sometimes i find myself unloading from 30 to 47 bullets in a person , and he receives 0 damage. something is definatly wrong. My advice is to disable Server Selection , until everything else gets worked out correctly. since right now when im having around 35/40 Ping , people are shooting 1 second , or 1 second and a half , before i can even Hear or See them (its highly noticeable expecially in factory). 3) Hacking: there's not much that can be done here , my suggestion is to have a team atleast of 3 4 people "klean is already doing it" to review Clip and check if someone is actually hacking. but what we really need is BSG to lets say either Hire or Find 3 4 people that are willing to review Logs(If Server and instances have logs on whats happening in a game during a certain time helps)/Clips and actively Hunt for hackers ensure that they are cheating and then proceed to Report to the people to land the ban. I can also be one of those people , for free i dont care , i love tarkov and i have experience in working with Anticheat companies aswell. 4) the STRENGHT "Issue" Strenght is a Skill that without it , the movement feels dull and unresponsive and too slow. (as of right now too slow and hard to skill) if i have to make a rework to strenght i would remove the Speed Bonus , from a 100% , and lets say put it 50% and put it as the "standard" PMC movement speed. Also Run Speed shouldnt Be Istantaneous but Reached overtime. example , im sprinting , from the regular Sprinting speed , in 3 seconds i get to 50% movement speed bonus "faster". or less seconds or more "requires testing" Everyone moves at the same speed. then Rework Strenght to lets say. Wearing Heavy Armor in a raid walking/sprinting/jumping around with it , will Increase your Strenght. and the Strenght (the higher it is) the less Movement/Turning Penalties for Wearing Heavy Armor. Remove the speed bonus for running with an Hatchet , and leave it like it is for other weapons. "you just run faster with a pistol" actually encourages people to bring a secondary. also Make the Strenght affect how fast you can Breach a door. Remove the "Throwing Strenght" for grenades and move that perk to Throwables. Elite Perk: Removes the Penalties for Wearing High Tier Armor run at 50% movement speed with AssaultRifles/Snipers aswell "Same as Everyone else" 5) Endurance (It levels wayyyyyy too slow) wayyy too much. it needs to be upped a tiny bit. Walking/Sprinting/Jumping Should level your endurance. also Holding Breath While ADS should Contribute a tiny bit. 6) Attention: Still doesnt seems like its working , Container Looting Speed and item rarity increase doesnt seem to work (i could be wrong) i have 20 attention , and a buddy of mine has 0 , we did 20 runs together looting 6 Filing Cabinets , 5 jackets , 2 Safes "each one of us" and most of the time he found the better stuff with almost 1 attention. (Could be RNG but have a look at that). it gets boring Fast when you are level 40+ and you have looted the entire world , but everytime you loot a jacket , filing cabinet , most of the things , it takes ages. 7) Charisma doesnt seems like its working yet Moving away from softskills. 8) AUDIO i've noticed there's a lot of problems with audio. Positional Audio definatly made things better but Sometimes "even with 40 perception" you cant hear a person Sprinting next to you. and sometimes you can hear them moving in covert / muffle movement. there's huge inconsistency in the Audio that needs to be looked at. 9) Unpopular Opinion , MEDS and BLACK LIMBS I never liked the "BLACKLIMB" mechanic , and i probably never will but as i said previously this is just my "Idea". Grizzly KIT right now its useless. Grizzly Should be Able to Restore a BlackLimb. at the cost of 33.3% of durability "or something around that number" that will give you 3 Chances to restore black Limbs. How many times you start a raid , the first bullet that flies , you got both your Legs Black and your stomach Black , you gotta extract. Sometimes i just prefer to die than doing the entire way that as of this Patch you cant even Run with black limbs. (i mean you can) but you cant. Either Make the Grizzly to Fix BlackLimbs. or add an Additional Equipment Slot on the PMC "like a backpack" but you can only put a grizzly there where it can contain up to 6 or 8 Meds that you can QuickBind on the Hotbar 4/5/6/7/8 etc. or Give us some kind of Expensive med that takes 1 or 2 Slot , that give us the ability to restore 1 black limb. in my honest opinion BlackLimb its not fun nor realistic. I mean , IRL if i get shot in the leg yeah. i cant walk i get it. but i dont die by getting my leg turned to minced meat even with a 60 RND mag emptied on IT. the fact that you can get 1/2 Tapped with a Shotgun/Saiga on the legs while Wearing 1mil Roubles worth of Armor Makes absolutely no sense. i Understand that you shoot somebody on the legs , you make him move slower , then you finish him off by shooting him on the body or head. I think this requires some thought , and a change. 10) Weapon Costs. im going to mention pistols cause.. APS,Glock,SR1,Grach cost should be tuned. an AR is Less Expensive than a pistol , a Glock with 21RND Mag and a flashlight sells for 30k Roubles , not even an AK74N sells for that much. 11) Quests , The fun , The Grind , The Unfun: for quests. to be honest i enjoyed most of the quests during the patch. the quest i actually hated. alot are Ice Cream Cones: it takes way too much to find 6 60 rnd Mags for the quest. the spawn Rate is Abysmal and its only a Painful quest. and the most effective way to complete it is to Rush the ZB-14 Bunker in Woods (Map that only a few people like) Due to the Spawns , and the Poor Hotspot locations on the map. Pretty Much , most of the shoreline quests. since the Performance and Stutter on Shoreline makes the Experience really really annoying. Fishing Gear: the fact that you have to place a 100k Rouble Rifle in a fishing boat and takes more than 30 seconds to do its a quest that i dont really like. also the reward of the quest its kinda unjustified for such a quest. Wet Job Part 6: Absolutely the quest that "kinda" makes no sense , and i hate to do. Level 7 Snipers ? for AP M4 M995 ammo ? a Fully Kitted M4 goes for over 200k Roubles , and to get the "good" ammo you have to grind for days and days and days the State of the Sniper Rifles in the game at the moment is Poor. Autobolting , Wierd Zeroing , Performance Drops with Scopes. Make the quest a pure Nightmare. Also Why should i spend Millions of Roubles to Buy SniperRifles "cause there are extremely High Chances that you are going to die alot" while trying to complete this quest to Unlock an "Assault Rifle Armor Penetrating Round". it Makes more Sense to Change from Sniper level 7 , to Assault Rifles level 7. Save the Sniper Level Skill quests when Sniper Rifles are actually Fun to use , Working , and when we have more sniper rifles in the game "Grind Snipers to Level 7 , you get a free Barret .50 cal , and the chance to buy them" this is what i call a reward for a grind. "its just an example". 12) Inventory Management , Game Editions Perks , Trader Adjustments as for perks the only thing i would add is. a Keybar. for Standard Edition and Above. Keybar is essential to the game and run a proper raid also with all the keys that are in the game Right now. the only way to obtain a keybar is running marked "with low % of spawn chance" always if you get there first. and with the Addition of "Durability" For Keys it will be even more "required". Every Standard Edition Player cant even fit Quests Items in their stash , its time for an Upgrade of Stash for All editions. since there are way TOO many quest items , barter items , and just not enough space to put them. I know that Stash Upgrades should come with Hideouts but seriously. the more quests get added , the harder it becomes. half of my EOD stash is Quest items for future Quests of my StandardEdition friend. and he has other quest items aswell. Keybar should be in the starting gear of Every single edition , and Keybar as an "utility" item we should be able to barter it from Therapist. Same thing goes for document bag , document bag is extremely rare , and you can only put in either Money or Keys. i Would say if you want to keep the document bag this rare , allow it to fit Bitcoins and Goldchains aswell. "you can do it irl , i dont see a reason why we cant ingame" or Allow us to Barter for a document bag from Either Mechanic for 1 or 2 Bitcoins , or Therapist for like some Goldchains or something else. MBSS Backpack for 2 dogtags ? simply not worth it / unfun. MBSS is a entry level backpack where you cant even put a shotgun in it. it should be able to Be bought , not traded. The MP153 Shotgun is Too big i remember the change was made to avoid the Influx of M4's Back in 0.6 was it ? or .7 i forgot. it should take 1 less slot. and it should fit in a Trizip atleast. the fact that you can only fit it in a Pilgrim or new Bag. its sad. i wanna conclude for the moment by saying that for quality of life improvement we should be able to. "DoubleClick" to buy 1 item or have the "fill items/Deal" next to eachother. Faster Transition Between Traders: Switching between traders is slow and boring. i've got alot of other ideas , but atm i guess this is "alot" and enough , for the moment. i Know Nikita that you and your team are working hard on the game , but alot of things are getting overlooked atm that would make the experience 10 times better and more enjoyable for everyone. This is just my 2 cents , i would love a response tho. PS: Im an Indie Dev myself , mainly Level Designer , Modeler. and i know how most of the Things work developing side.
